Change of Plans on Spinning?

And I was just getting ready to start spinning articles when the news of the latest Google remake started to float around.

However, I had no idea what it was doing to ezinearticles, hubpages and the like...

It hasn't changed any of my rankings, but then, I'm just a little guy, although Google did not appreciate my run at adwords (...got the warning!).

But Sistrix has been keeping an eye on things - The Google Farmer Update: Quest For Quality

Here is their link to whose has lost this go-around:
Google Farmer Update: Quest for Quality - SEO-Blog

Do you think this will change YOUR spinning efforts?

This is an interesting development as I have been in the process of building a few niche sites, and I just learned how to spin. So this is a no-go now?

I was hoping to get some input on that from some seasoned spinners, especially those still not using any auto-spinning software (tried 5 or 6 but they gave garbage results).

Since my spinning efforts are manual, I think the content can be there. I don't intend to blast out article after article.

        I have 2-3 spinners i use.
1 is an auto spinner. But i have the settings set very low.So it just replaces some synonyms.

The other 2 are ones i set up with the brackets and control.
Then i use an article parser, and rewrite, put in my own words.
        I just did 10 on a niche,and all ten are 97% unique.
These where plr articles that have been all over the place.

The only reason i do this is because it gives me unique content in a short amount of time. And i have full control over it.
There are quite a few sales pages that say to do this from website content and article directorys but i do not do it.

Oh yes... I've already started backing off of article marketing to a great extent to concentrate on just doing content for my own website. Full article goes on the website, blurb with a link on my blog which feeds Twitter and Facebook.

I'm also spending more time on getting content quality text links, not links in directories with thousands of other people, but text links on at least PR2 pages on related sites. Since some of my pages are starting to get indexed with PR2 ranks, I can do some nice high quality link exchanges now that will be more of a benefit than all of the article marketing I've done over the last couple of years.

And I was a BIG advocate of article spinning too! But I'm finding quality links and other types of promotion are probably going to work better for my site.

I think you will find that Google isn't keen on link exchanges either. Quality content is the way to go, syndication or guest blogging.
