Dear Eric Land,

PayPal would like to inform you that funds have been deducted from Huston Kelly account but can only be credited into your PayPal account once the shipment tracking number has been sent to our database administrator for verification at shipmentlink@accountant.com

This action is not a request from our client but a security measure we are taking to ensure and protect both parties involved in this transaction.

We would want you to have the item mailed as requested and email us with the shipment tracking number and we can verify it so that your account can be credited.

PayPal is sorry for any inconvenience this might have caused you.

Eric, all you have to do is log into your account and see if there is a pending
transaction or some mention of this there.

      Never rely on PayPal emails.

I've seen many paypal emails in my various boxes lately as well.
I can't track them in my mailbox, but when looking at them through my BLACKBERRY, it shows me the where from address.. strange.

Every single one came from a (GARBEGE) JHGHDgg@yahoo.com or something similar.
    Reply to those you're done!!!

Personally i NEVER answer to any of them, and simply go to my paypal account.
Any issue paypal has will be in your account anyways...

    Regards,
    JR

    BE VERY CAREFUL

I used to receive tons of phishing emails so what you might want to do is clearing your cookies and cache and don't click the link in the email, but rather login as usual making sure that you put the s in: https to login and see what's really going on.

Rule number 1) NEVER CLICK A LINK IN YOUR MAIL

I even don´t login in may paypal account. I directly call them and ask about that issue.

shipmentlink@accountant.com? Why would anything from PayPal have an email address that doesn't use the PayPal domain name?

    It's a scam.

PayPal already has shipping verification safeguards in place that have nothing to do with confirming shipment BEFORE payment is received.

Watch out with PayPal! I sold a Nokia N95 8GB phone on eBay, using Paypal, for $500 plus $35 postage. The transaction ID is 52F59575C25824352. Item number of the auction is 290251938218. User ID of being reported is pal-eng2. The item listed as paid on eBay, I got the usual email notification from Paypal that the transaction took place. Because of the amount and the buyer being out of the Country, I waited 48 hours to ship it. Went back to Paypal, the money was there. No notifications or communications of anything wrong from eBay or Paypal, so I shipped the phone. Today, 3 days after I was told by Paypal that the money was in my account, I get a new email from them telling me that they reversed the transaction because of unauthorized use of the Paypal account by the buyer... They took the money from me, I lost the phone and they tell me there is nothing that I can do. PayPal is not responsible and I am out of the money and phone. Watch out, do not use PayPal. If you need more information, you can contact me at Pablo@Vitaver.com

That royally SUCKS! I am so sorry that happened to you...I used to sell through ebay, and luckily nothing like that ever happened...I would think you could do something about it through ebay at least...

Anyways, back to the initial post, I agree with everyone, this is a scam. Don't ever reply to any of these emails, only go by what is in your paypal account...

This is definitely a SCAM! I had the same thing happen to me and I immediately called Paypal to see if the email actually came from them. I turned out to not be from Paypal and I was definitely glad I confirmed with them first.

I've been getting a lot of these recently from "Paypal", saying that I've paid money for an "ebay" transaction. Yeah, right.

Apparently I've purchased a bunch of ebay products during the past couple of days that I knew nothing about. :-)

However, I always log into ebay and Paypal from the web, just to make sure no weird and unauthorized transactions are taking place.

It's a scam.. No doubt about it..

There are a lot of scam emails doing rounds so you need to be very careful...

        1) Always check whether the mail came from the domain paypal.com
        2) Never click on any link given in the email.
        3) Never click a link that asks you to update your Paypal details. It is very easy to create a webpage that looks like Paypal Homepage...
        4) Never reply to such emails. Report them as "SPAM" .

        Cheers,
        Anup
