Text Based Navigation

Hi all,

At the present, I am reading a reference book on Search Engine Optimization written by Bruce Clay, and the book mentions the use of a text based navigation for websites, but it doesn't show what it looks like. Can someone point me to a link that shows what text based navigation looks like?

    Look around on this page. You'll see text-based navigation everywhere.

    Text-based navigation refers to using characters as link text instead of images. The Warrior Forum graphic link at the top left is an example of an image link. The breadcrumb links below that are text based navigation.

    I guess that when site uses text based navigation internal links are text links with relevant anchor text, not images or flash.
