You're A Loser And Will Stay That Way Until You Clean Up Your Act! (RANT WARNING)

Ok,
You know who you are. Even though I can't find you in the Warrior Members List. (And you have friends too.)

You buy a product, knowing full well what it is, and what it costs.

You log into your PayPal account. Yes...you typed in YOUR PayPal username and password.

You paid for the item.

You downloaded it 2 minutes later. (And you saved it to your computer to work on later)

You then login to your PayPal account and issue an Unauthorized Claim against the buyer...minutes after you downloaded the product!

No email to the seller...nothing...

Why do you do this?

Is it funny? Think it's cute? Too cheap to actually pay for something?

Who cares.

Here's the moral of the story that you need to learn: YOU are a loser...and will remain a loser...until you clean up your act.

You're a thief.

And a liar.

Nuff said.

~End Rant~

Back to work...

Hi Jack, No pun intended by my last post!

I don't even let it bother me any more.

I normally just block them via IP, their Email address and any other way I
        can think of.

Since doing this I have weeded out many of the scum bags that pull this crap.
I'm sure there are more out there and I will do the same to they as the
        time comes.

Truly it's their loss because in the future when they do see something
they would like to purchase from me, they won't be able to do so!

I feel your frustration but, Don't let it drive you crazy in the process.

I'll stop there because I should have already been on the road by now!

        See Ya!
        Have a Great Day!
        Michael

I've had this happen a million times over with my downloadable products on PayPal and each time I had lost until I got fed up and found a solution which works each and every time.

At first I didn't have anything to combat these guys with other then my own words so PayPal would always side with the buyer in these matters until I found this quote in the PayPal buyer protection TOS section of there website.

"PayPal will generally make a final decision for an Item Not Received (INR) Claim, but will not make a final decision for a Significantly Not as Described (SNAD) Claim, or Claims involving the following purchases: intangible items, licenses, airline flight tickets, services, vehicles, live auctions, real estate, classified ads on eBay, or other items as determined by PayPal (collectively "Ineligible Items"). This means that unless the seller voluntarily refunds your money, you will not recover any amounts for a SNAD Claim or a Claim for an Ineligible Item filed under the Buyer Complaint Policy."

I bring that up with the link which is the one below.

    paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=p/gen/ua/policy_buyer_complaint-outside

And I win every single damn time because under PayPal if your selling something which can be downloaded the buyer is NOT protected.

I don't like to rip people off and I personally give the product to everyone who buys something from me and you always get those people who file claims against you.

Again if you want to win these claims every single time bring up that quote and give them a link to that page.

I can re-assure you as a seller you will win the fight and won't loose your money.

It took me a long time to find that info and I lost a lot of money before I found it but again I haven't lost a claim against me since I bring that information to there attention.

I hate to bring this up, but I prefer to refund customers. If you do not, these angry adversaries can and will complain to your bank to try to make you lose your merchant account. Call Paypal and Ebay claiming that they were robbed. And much worse call the FTC and claim fraud.

A friend of mine that did not refund people was fined by the FTC half a mil. He had to lay off his workers, sell his land, warehouse, house, car, yacht, etc to pay it.

Oh yes, and they can bring charges of criminal fraud against you. It can get ugly...Don't end up like OJ.

      I hear you Jack.

Matter of fact, I am thinking of getting out of the IM niche all together. I will always take care of my current customers but am tired of people thinking they are entitled to anything and everything. Luckily, I build my products for me to use and will be doing so. It is a shame because the things I will be creating will be for mine and my current customers. I won't be sharing anymore. I am just getting fed up with this niche. Too much time sucked up by refunders.

Reminds me, I need to close a wso down.

My current customers are fantastic and will always be taken care of. I am just tired of dealing with the pretend customers if you know what I mean.

Did you read any of the previous posts?

This is not about refund requests!

What merchant account are we going to lose? This is about PayPal, not a merchant account.

Why am I skeptical about your friend there? He only needed to pay half a million, yet had to sell a yacht and a house and land and a bunch of other stuff? Where can you buy all that for 500K?

Why are you mentioning OJ? He was convicted of armed robbery and kidnapping, not fraud. I haven't heard of anyone having trouble buying ebooks from him.

"And the wheels on the bus go round and round..."

    Life goes on.

    Thanks googleplex for that info.

Not sure if it will work in this case since they are claiming a fraudulent purchase.

    Oh well.
