Well is it something you can put in the WSO section of the forum? I never released an ebook or WSO before a couple days ago and have had about 15 sales with no real promotion, no list, nothing.

Are you getting traffic to your site? Without traffic you can't expect to have sales!

If your ebook is not about an in-demand topic, if its title is not appealing and it doesn’t have the right keywords, and if you are not promoting it through many ways, you won’t have any chances to sell it online.

I had a tremendous problem when I first started selling my own ebooks in 2007 because my topic is unusual, even though my work solves many problems at the same time (my niche is mental health, a very difficult one on the internet, and offline too).

Whoever trusts me and purchases my ebooks feels grateful forever, however in order to convince the public that my work is really good I had to write more than 1100 articles, 3 free ebooks, and various reports, etc…

An ebook business is quite complicated. If your ebook is about internet marketing you have more chances to sell it online. You have to look for JV partners. You also have to promote your work everywhere to get enough traffic.

You could ask other Warrior’s opinion about your work here at the Warrior forum. Go to Internet Product Reviews & Ratings and give your ebook to the warriors who may care about reading it. You’ll be helped in many ways. You can also show your sales letter to professional copywriters here at the Warrior forum. Go to The Copywriting Forum. They will criticize your sales letter and help you dramatically improve it (if you are lucky and your work is good enough).

    Good luck!

      Good luck!
This is great advice. I sell an eBook in a niche field (classical music) and it's really hard to drive traffic to a site that's a small niche (believe me - sometimes I wish my interest was "MTV" and not classical music) but you have to work at it.

Also, it's all about trust. You can't just put up a 5 page website with a sales page and expect to have people come running. Heck, on my blog I didn't even try to start getting subscribers until I had around 100 articles. WHY would people subscribe to my newsletter if I had no content?

One thing you may try is support articles and adjunct articles/free giveaways to drive interest.

So while my eBook is about iTunes and Classical Music, I get people to join the mailing list (where I promote the eBook) by giving a way a free short PDF guide to creating an MP3 CD from an iTunes playlist. The free guide is an adjunct to my eBook, doesn't directly compete with the eBook, but also doesn't make my existing customers angry/jealous (who may come back for support).

I also have the table of contents of the big eBook available for free and a trimmed first chapter that I give for free with NO signup required.

By doing both of these things is gives people a chance to see my writing style and make sure they like it, and it also let's people know that the eBook is high-quality (and believe, me, the short guide about creating the MP3 CD from an iTunes playlist is really "done-up" to show how great the eBook is -- nice pictures and all).

I hope this info is helpful for you (especially since I learned much of it on this forum!).
