Best Way to Usher Site Visitors to Review Page

I have built a niche site, and I'm at the point now where I'm just doing some tweaking before transitioning into my backlink strategy.

One thing though that's been on my mind is the what's the best way to direct people from my homepage(or other pages for that matter) to my review page with affiliate offers.

Should I have a featured box call attention to my review page as one of the first items on my homepage? Or should I mention the review subtly on the homepage. I currently mention my review page on my internal pages down at the bottom and highlighted.

Am I going about this the right way? I think the major thing is should I make the review page a featured prominent item on the homepage or make it subtle and less "showy". I dont want things to look too "spammy".

There's a number of ways you could do it - and you can implement several.

One way I use on one site which reviews several products in a niche is to list my "top picks" by various categories. I place these "top picks" above-the-fold in my sidebar.

For this same site I also have links called "read all XYZ product line" reviews which leads visitors to a page listing all reviews by category.

If it's a single product review page, you definitely want to link twice from your home page article to the review in a natural way. You might put a link in the sidebar "My XYZ Product Review".

Generally, the most effective way is a naturally reading link from your home page article. If the home page article is engaging and people read it, then you'll want to entice them to click to your review.

Hopefully you can also rank in the search engines for the review page as well to get direct traffic there.

One other option, if your site is a single product review site is try placing your review on the home page.

I've found that testing different methods is key. You never know what will work. Test and tweak until you get the traffic and sales you're seeking.

Thanks for the reply. My site features a few products.

As it stands, the feature box doesn't look too natural on my homepage. It takes about a third of the page above the fold, and pretty is a call out area.

So the best thing to do would be to create an engaging article on the homepage that should naturally transition the visitor to the review page - just try to make everything as natural as possible?
