Hey Warriors I have failed at working online for well over a year until recently when I gave up chasing cash and actually started to learn. Then 2 months back I went to my first IM seminar, since leaving there I got a blog set up about 6 weeks back. In that space of time my online earnings is now about $2,000. Now things are moving fast I am quickly realising that you have got to plan your business. Now I know most of you here are far more experienced than myself and to you this is all going to be obvious.. But... Most newbies like I was ( am ) dont get that working online is business, it is not a way to get rich quick or to make simple cash. You really have to work hard and take action every single day. In order to do that effectively you must have a plan. Now personally I have a plan of exactly where Im heading with my business for the next year or 2 but thats cus I actually had an "Ah ha " moment in a dream recently and woke up scribbling it down on paper before I forgot ..lol So maybe you cant plan that far infront but certainly you should have a month planned out. then break that down into a weekly plan, then a daily plan. You will be shocked at how much more you get done with your business !! Something else I now do is to actually sit and when I plan to do certain tasks thats all I do until they are complete. So shut down your skype or msn, close down your emails and concerntrate on the task at hand, seriously your work production will go through the roof Im sure you more experienced warriors out there will back that up ! Hope that helps someone reading, Good luck Dean |

I plan out everything as much as possible, plans usually change a little along the way, though

That is so true Dean. A lot of newbies are opportunity seekers; they chase after every new opportunity that catches their fancy. They never get started building a business. They dont realise that any one of those programs they had already bought could have been the one to make them financially free. All successful businesses have a master plan - a long term written down on paper plan. This plan gets minor adjustments as time progress but mostly they stick to their plan. They dont venture off in opportunities that dont help their plan . This was a costly lesson to me as I dont think anyone has purchased more money making opportunities than me. Now am working my plan and making adjustments along the way but Im making progress and if it doesnt help my business progress I wont buy it. So I graduated from being an opportunity seeker to a guy with a business and a plan.

Thanks for your email. I don't plan nearly as much as I need to. Because of your email I am going to make a plan for my business starting in the New Year. Thanks Di |

Not planning and having "too many" ideas is my major pitfall. Sometimes i think i have ADD...or maybe i really need to start hiring people.. FOCUS on one thing and pull it through. "Plan" is rather in my mind as in "setting a goal" what i want to achieve, and the next day i am starting on it, usually. |

The more you plan (once you start selling) the better. I plan at least a year in advance, and then for every month, week, and most importantly, every day. As long as the analysis doesn't lead to paralysis, you're in charge of your progress. I've had a DDT sticker on my monitor for several years. It moves from computer to computer with me. DDT = Do, Don't Think. :-) Cheers Angela |
