It is okay to contact me! I have been developing software since 1999, creating many popular products like phpLD.

Unlimited domains is excellent. Unlimited bandwidth and Unlimited diskspace seem to attract the wrong type of client. ( Alot of them are abusive towards the servers and usually don't care about others on that server. )

        Thanks for your input!

Providing top quality customer service is essential for businesses, but sadly not to many businesses provide top quality support.

      Support is a must!

Uptime is essential, what's the point of moving to that host if they provide 50% even 60% uptime? None, you're right!

      Thanks for your input!

I look for technical support available through chat - in case I don't want to spend 45mins on hold first.

The availability and speed of how sales and technical support is vary important.

I will also ask what kind of hardware the servers are running, and if there's any redundancy.

Not only do I look for long track, but also the support is important.

I use hostgator, and their support is immaculate. They've never given me problems and usually their support team can handle things quickly for you. I would highly recommend Hostgator for your web hosting needs (lol look at me I sound like a HostGator rep or something).

The answer would also depend on how long are we on the net...

E.g. when I was a beginner webmaster, I was very happy to have host that was available for support by email, phone, chat etc.

Today, I like the hosts where I don't know how good their support is. Simply, because that means there are no major problems with their servers, there are no sudden downtimes - so I don't need to contact them
