Hi, I set up my video page using FLV PLAYER (using swf video produced from camtasia earlier) http://www.rookiecollege.com/0/videos/test.htm the video file is made from camtasia (swf adobe flash) http://www.rookiecollege.com/0/video..._traffic01.swf but when i make that page for JW FLV , it doesn't play...do u know how to fix it? is it because the camtasia produced the SWF video in wrong format? do you know which option to choose so the FLV will work (using CAMTASIA 5.0)? Thanks BJ |

BJ one post is probably enough ;-) Have you considered that it's called JW flv player because it plays "flv" files? At any rate... render your video as an flv and not an swf. Also you don't need a player if your video is an swf... you can just embed the swf strait into your page without any player at all. |

Very simple BJ. Its calld JW flv player so it can only play flv's ![]() When you product your camtasia video make it create a flv output. Then use this code Code: <embed src="flvplayer.swf" width="320" height="240" allowfullscreen="true" wmode="transparent" flashvars="&file=myvideo.flv&height=240&width=320&image=mystaticimage.jpg&autostart=true&allowfullscreen="true"&showicons=true&repeat=false&quality=best&wmode=window /> so here flvplayer.swf is the JW flv player... width and height are self explanatory.. myvideo.flv is your flv file and mystaticimage.jpg is the placeholder image. Replace these with your filenames and you are good to go! Cheers Satya |

Hi Josh, I was surfing for answers and came across your post. I made an account to contact you. Nobody seems to be able to answer my question. Here is the background. I am a producer in Japan (music) and I on a 180 city tour. I have made a site promoting the tour with 180 different cities each on a separate page for the fans to read about the reviews. On these pages I want to have video clips of each show. Embedding every time is time consuming so I made a cms program to upload videos already converted to flash. My problem is I am wondering if I can have one player on each page and that when I upload the video that it will play in that player. I know I can just embed the swf, but it wont have a player around it. Do you have any advice for me? Sincerely Stephen Hunter stephen at discoveryfirm.com |
