Default Important For Digg Users...Please Read

Folks, when you go to submit your Digg and you get that message that
says "This may be a duplicate", you're going to get that for every submission.

Just ignore it and go down to the bottom of the page where it says, "It's
original, I promise" or something like that, and submit your Digg.

I don't understand why people are being scared off by this message. I've
Dugg posts I've made that couldn't possibly be duplicates and sure enough
when I look through their list of possible duplicates, some of them aren't
even close matches.

I honestly don't understand why Digg does this as it's just an annoying
extra step since they don't stop you from digging the post anyway.

Well, I just thought I'd pass this along for anybody who wasn't aware of it.

Steven,
I know what you mean, but there are a lot of newbies who want to submit junk to Digg every day, and it's just another hurdle to try and hinder them from doing so.

Also, when it comes to news items, I might try and submit a news article from the BBC, but this will make me check and I might find out that the same story has been submitted from CNN. Is there really much point in submitting the BBC article?

sree94,
If your article is good, rewrite it for a blog and submit the blog url. It's better for you anyway.

LOL - you are so right! Propeller does the same thing - and when you scan down the list of "duplicates" - they are rarely even close to what you are submitting! Good point!
