Hi everyone,

Basically, I opted-in for a free report yesterday, but didn't receive it. When I e-mailed the guy asking for my report, he basically said he'd gone over the limit of how many he was allowed to give away for free.

So I unsubscribed.

Is this illegal? I understand that I didn't actually purchase anything from him, but I'm curious as to if this would be mis-representation or something. It's not the first time I've seen something like this happen.

Thanks

It's definitely a misrepresentation, but it's hard to imagine it being actually illegal, as you have no financial interest in receiving the report.

No. You did not pay him and then he didn't deliver. I wouldn't worry about it too much.

No, it's not illegal. And unsubscribing was the right thing for you to do.

Ok, thanks for the replies. It's not as if I was intending on taking him to court or anything lol I was just curious. It could have been an honest mistake, maybe he's changed the squeeze page now
