How 'Easy' Is It To Generate 1500 UV/Day?

1500 unique visitors consistently. I'll be using every traffic generation method available and will work at it for months. (I'm mostly asking because I'm greedy and want to guesstimate how much money I can make.)

Thank you.

Sorry I meant 5000. That seems like quite a lot to me. And I understand there are many factors involved however I'm looking for a 'general' opinion.

Traffic in itself can never be a goal... First you need to define what you are going to do with that much traffic. I am assuming you are not going to invest a lot of money in driving traffic.

First thing you have got to figure out is what is your goal? In some niches, there might not be enough traffic to bring in 5000 NEW UNIQUE visitors a day.

Traffic is just ONE factor that makes money. There are many more. Like conversions, front end, back end etc.

How many backens do you have? What niche you are in? All those different things matter.

More importantly why do you want that kind of traffic?

150,000 UV/month is not a piece of cake. It really is not. Not even with PPC unless you are an expert or are partnering up with one.

I'd recommend for a nice answer to that question, just get in touch with someone who does consultancy for IM businesses and mind oyu, it won't be cheap. Their time, that is!

HINT: 5000 Unique Visitors a day is not really going to be a piece of cake unless you start earning a small fraction of money ASAP and then re-invest it into your business. That is the only easy way to take it exponential THAT I HAVE EXPERIENCED. Others might be different.

Traffic is important, but conversions count.

If you have 5000 UV/day, but no conversions - this is still $0.
You can make $100/day with 100-500 UV/day if you have strong conversions - for example

    Good luck!

Thanks guys. I appreciate the advice. It's a product which predominantly serves career professionals, entrepreneurs, sales people, small business owners, and to a certain extent everyone. I'm aiming for a 3% conversation rate which I think is attainable considering I'm an "OK" copywriter and I'll be following up through e-mail for eventually a year with valuable content. The subscription will be $6.95/month with a back end product priced at $147. I'm willing to invest as much money into advertising as I can providing it's profitable. The thing is I have no idea what a lot of traffic is. Or how long it would take to reach that level. Would 100,000/month be considered a lot of traffic? What are people new to generating traffic getting?

I'm going to bump this once. (I hope that's OK.) Because I'd love to hear more feedback from people. And if I'm being naive or I'm missing the point about something then by all means tell me! I welcome all advice. Otherwise I'll let this thread drift off in WarriorForum oblivion. Mostly I want to know what's a considered a high volume of traffic and how much time it would take to reach 100K/Month while I'm having fun.

look, it can ofcourse be done, but the thing ive learnt most is it takes time for sites to be established in Google and rank well

Good point Mack77. When I had a guitar website in google ages ago for a relatively low volume keyward I had something like 500 visitors a day. And that was when I was lazy.

I think Lakshay pretty much spelled it out. It's hard to answer your question, as don't know your exact market or keywords/phrases.

Even if your market is high volume, there is most likley going to be big competition, so it's going to cost in PPC and be tougher for SEO.

As already mentioned, it's not always about the amount of traffic, it's also conversions and what your selling. I have a site that gets maybe 200 uniques a day yet makes descent money, so it's not just high volume traffic.
