Is Your Niche Showing?

Many marketing experts stress the importance of having a U.S.P or Unique Selling Proposition. I display mine by doing the things my competition hates to do.

How do you display your uniqueness or how do you separate yourself from your competition?

Any examples, steps or general ideas appreciated.

I try and offer 10x the value that they can't get anywhere else, so it could mean adding extra bonuses (not PLR) that complement the existing package.

And I try to stay away from all the hype, people appreciate honesty.

I recently added my USP to the top of my main page actually pointing out in writing what I do that my competitors don't; or vice versa.

After studying the competition a bit before launching my website two years ago, I realized that I can still make a decent profit from my products without charging extra for the little things.

So on my bookmarks, unlike most of my competitors, I don't charge for adding special photos or creating special backgrounds that I don't already have a design for; I don't charge extra for printing on the reverse side of the bookmarks and I don't charge extra for the bookmark tassels or ribbon.

I charge a flat rate for shipping that's reasonable; I don't gouge on that. And I offer totally complete customization without any extra charge.

My target market wants personalization while saving money and that's what I give them. And I state that right on the front page of my site.

I'm hoping that improves sales; I just added it a few days ago.
