It seems harder to sell for women!

I'm into a massive niche already (in the health market)... and I'm asking if anyone else finds it harder to sell for women than for men!

It's not easier - or harder, just different.

Women spend more than men. They also control the checkbooks in many households. Most experienced marketers find that selling to women is much easier. You just need to learn the emotional triggers to pull when marketing to people that have boobs.

Does that include men who are a bit flabby?

      Does that mean they're cretins?

Selling to woman is easier when you have a women's product.
Selling to men is easier when you have a man's product.

I have found, and this is simply my personal experience of it, that on sites aimed at women's products, issues, etc. I get more clicks on the Adsense.

I've found that my niches that appeal to women do better than those that appeal to men, so I would say it depends on your niche, the price of the products in that niche, etc.

You're going to fail. If you're afraid of failure then you do not belong in the Internet Marketing Business. Period.

I would suggest that anyone whose market is largely female, or anyone who wishes to write gender specific copy, get and read the book Why She Buys: The New Strategy for Reaching the World's Most Powerful Consumers by Bridget Brennan.

It is available at Amazon or your bookstore.

Ms. Brennan opened my eyes to the fact that when males attempt to write copy targeted at females we frequently come off as condescending rather than helpful. Our problem is that we often find the female's purchasing motivation trivial. And the fact that we think their motivation is trivial comes through in what we write.

She uses real world examples to point out the differences between the needs of both sexes. One example was that a car manufacturer did a study asking why potential customers would not buy their product. One of the most frequent answers females gave was that the cup holders were inadequate. That response did not appear on any of the questionnaires completed by men. Most men probably didn't even think about the cup holders, but the women did. And if the women found that the cup holders were inadequate, that family would not buy the car.
