Idea for a product, is there a demand?

Hi Guys.

So. I have a copy-writing formula, it's a set of about 40 exact steps and a layout that has proven to be very successful in a variety of niches. I've been thinking about using it to create a product.

The idea is, creating a wordpress sales page theme that has the instructions for each section of the copy built into the dashboard and a guide that gives in-depth info about each section and the techniques I use to copy-write. So essentially, people just have to add a header and their product images/video and bang, ready made sales page. With a selection of 4-5 different colour schemes and aesthetic designs and perhaps even a guide for editing the theme to customise the look yourself for the more design capable users.

It would also tie in well with a product i'm working on at the moment about mini-video sales pages that operates on a similar but smaller basis.

My question is, do you think there would be a demand for such a thing? It's not as if designing a sales page is stupidly hard and guides to copy-writing aren't exactly hard to find.

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!

1) There are many marketers who think designing a sales page is hard. Don't be so short-sighted about that.

2) What makes your product different from all of those FREE guides?

You've identified a huge problem in a market, now you just need to highlight WHY its the best solution for that problem.

I mean technically couldn't you just use the very same product you are planning on pitching to create an iron-clad sales copy to sell it?

Essentially it holds your hand though the whole thing. I created it in this format after helping a friend who was new to IM, no matter what he tried his copy never really had the flow it needed to keep people reading. He's since used the formula for several successful products of his own.

And I would be using it to sell it, in fact i'd use one of the templates for the sales page so people know exactly what they are getting. I don't just want people to buy it because my copy is good, I want them to buy it because they need it and by giving them something they need I can position myself to sell them related products in the future.

Well if you are selling them a formula on how to write good sales-copy then you are providing a market something they need. I'm sure there are plenty of marketers (me included--depending on niche) that have no idea where to begin when it comes to writing sales copy.

An iron-clad formula that is proven to get results would be attractive, especially for those who cannot afford or do not wish to outsource the work to a professional copy-writer.

The comment about using the formula you are planning on selling to create your actual sales page was said in jest... didn't mean for it to be taken literally.

There's a great demand for this. When I wanted to release a product...i don't have any idea on how to design a sales page....i searched on google a lot to find anything useful.

You could search on google "How to design a sales website" and come up with whole lot of ****ty web pages asking you to use good webhosting company and website designers..

  There's always a demand for things that work. If you can prove that your method works in multiple niches, then I'm sure you'll have people that will want to have it.

  Anyway, not totally sure. The issue of different people having different sized images and different amounts of images they want to include is a trick one from a coding point of view. I mean, it's doable, but it would need to look like the page was designed exactly for the content in question and doesn't look like a template that has been half filled with content.
  
  Like I said, it's just a concept at this point. I've got a few things on the go at the moment and some more planned so it's going to be a good few months before I even start to put together a real plan.

  Sort of. Perhaps with more features, as I said, just a concept, no real plan.
  
  The real meat of it would be in the formula for creating the copy, as opposed to the theme, that's more of a selling point than the main reason for buying it.
