How is clickbank's refund policy not unfair to vendors?

So basically, someone totally satisfied with the product they purchased can get a no questions asked refund in 1 days time, and then keep the entire product.
How is this OK?

It's okay because you agree to it when you place your product there. Don't like the policy then don't use Clickbank.

It is what it is. If a product is not a physical product, there is no way to send it back, so a refund is the only way to go about things.

Do you have any better suggestions?

        For customers?

Unless you are a serial refunder, you may find it brilliant....

Don't put "money back guarantee" if you think it's unfair. sell your product directly without CB and don't use paypal... Use Western union.... .. just kidding

..Or, create special software to disable your product even it if is in the buyer's PC once he asked for refund... You could make millions if you can do this....

    Nope.

They're legally required to delete the product, because their licence to have and use it is revoked when they ask for the refund. Once the refund is given, continued possession or use of your product is illegal piracy.

They do still retain the technical capability to keep and use your product illegally. But it is not legal for them to do so.

Granted, there's not a damn thing you can do about it, but what do you suggest could be done?

If you don't like it, don't sell digital products. Sell physical products, so they can't get a refund unless they send it back. That way, when you get it back, you know they don't have it anymore.

So make them feel horrifically guilty on the refund page. Use "ethics" to get inside their head.
"WARNING: If you continue to use this product after receiving your refund you will be prosecuted to the
MAXIMUM PENALTY FINE which accumulates to A GREAT DEAL OF MONEY."

Thats a great idea. But if they are a "serial refunder" they wont care, and if the product is garbage they won't use it anyway.

Well there is alot of junk on clickbank that requires a quick refund so they are not sued for fraud in the vendor's stead. How would you expect them to return the product anyway?

That's the internet for you. You're selling a product that requires no shipping costs. Some people are going to buy products and get a refund. However, most people don't get refunds when products actually work. The problem is that most products don't work.

Unfortunately, it is a bit shady and unfair because there are serial refunders out there who only purchase the product because they know they can abuse the system and get it for free.

The good news is as long as your product is high quality, you'll have way more satisfied people that will gladly pay for the product.

Serial refunders can only get so far. Clickbank will shut them off after a certain number of refunds. I don't know how many it is somewhere around five or ten I think. Not even sure how they do it, but they do.

I like looking at things from the bright side...and it does provide a nice incentive to put more focus on the part of our business that can easily drop too low in the priority list in internet marketing - our relationship to our customers and list...and in my experience, in most cases the response is according to what we put out - if we provide a great product and communicate genuinely honestly about what we're selling without hype, hypnotic brain manipulation and deception, that part of our customers will engage with us and control their behavior...in the end, we all create every part of our reality.

C'mon man. No one is forcing you to use Clickbank. They are the rules and if you don't like, don't sit here and complain about it, just go elsewhere.

Besides, you'll gain more sales as a result of their refund policy than if they didn't have one at all.

Yeah, what other people said. Plus, as a lot of the products supposedly don't perform to the degree in which stated, refunds must be instated.
