Help recovering data from USB stick

Hi,

I hope someone can help me please. I transferred a load of files onto my USB stick while I went out to work on them. Now I'm back, plug the USB stick into my pc and its struggling even to recognise the USB stick. When it does there are no files displayed there.

Does anyone any idea how I can recover these files/work?

Thanks

Wendy

Did you damage it or something (I strongly doubt so)? If it's a mechanical damage only a hardware technician could help. Anyway, Try this out:
Free file recovery software - recover lost files from a CD, DVD, hard drive or memory card.

I was just think about this this morning. I keep all of my recently created articles on a memory stick that I carry with me everyday so I can write when inspiration hits.

I was thinking what if something ever happed to that stick and I lost my articles. I would be devastated since I write about 6 - 10 articles a day and only back it up to my computer about once a week.

I am sorry for your delima. Please let me know what you find for a solution and I will email my articles to myself from now on.

I'm just trying out these bits of software now and will let you know how I get on.

I'd only been chatting about this with my daughter last night and suggesting that she didn't keep the only copy of some school coursework on her USB stick in case it got lost.

Now it feels like I should have listened to that advice myself because yes it has at least one days worth of work on it.

Have you tried inserting the USB stick into more than one computer to be sure that it is the stick that is faulty?
