Personal Blog Header?

Hey guys,
I wanted to ask if it's possible for me to upload my pics to my blog? It's a wordpress blog with a theme. Can I alter the html in the header section of the admin settings or have I got it wrong?

Thanks in advance

P.S. I know I can get a header created from a web designer. Just wondered if the above is possible.

    This will all depend on the theme that you are using. What is the name of the Wordpress theme you have activated?

    1. All the WP blogs are "with a theme". They don't work otherwise.
    2. Some themes, like the default TwentyTen in version 3.x - allow you to upload your own header image (or to select from the ones that come with the theme)
    3. For themes that don't have such an option:
    - create an image of the same size as your existing header image
    - re-name the existing image file to something else but remember its name!
    - upload your custom image and re-name it to what the initial header was

    I use the graphene and painter themese among others and they allow you to easily upload a custom header. You simply go to the appearance tab then look for the header, once you click on this it should bring up the header options.

    From here you can upload your new custom header and some themes (like the two I mentioned) have other headers you can choose from.

      thanks for all your help guys. I think I have sussed it out now. I'll need to replace the image on my ftp with another with the same name. Giving it a try now
