Any youtube software that will do this?

I need to help a friend and modify the information on a boatload of youtube videos in this account to repurpose them and am looking for a way not to have to do it all online.

I'm looking for youtube software that will allow you to download load youtube videos, change the information for the video, possibly the format or length of the video, then upload them again.

tubedetonator and imdetonator used do to those things. I own both of them but both of them mysteriously vanished. I suspect maybe youtube made a change that made them not work. At least I can't get my versions to work.

Thanks, Ron

    Hey Ron,

That would be a great service/product if anybody has any info on something like that. Or someone could create it and "used to be ballin', but now be Bill Gatin'" hahaha

I have read Automation monarch upsell from profitmonarch, can download/upload youtube videos using API. Though some people have reported their accounts being banned because of using it.

The best way I can think of. Is to download the videos, then quickly add on an intro and ending. Or trim the video and put on the new starting and beginning after. That'll change the length and slightly alter the look.

You can do this fairly quickly with windows movie maker, then change to different formats.

Videoswiper will take the videos from youtube via api and load them up on your own site. You can use it to spin the titles and descriptions.

I must be missing something here, with all the responses about downloading the videos from YouTube.

If they're your friend's videos, can't he/she just give you access to the originals?

It's pretty easy to download them with Download YouTube Videos and Convert YouTube to MP3 - I use that one all the time and it's free.

You could probably use an excel sheet, pre set your title, description, keyword tags and at least make it EASIER to re-upload them with the new content.

That ones tough though....could be something good to create... lol

thanks for the responses. Actually I found software that would do it but only used it a few times and it got all the the YT channels and accounts banned. Pretty scary when you are dealing with channels that are years old, had hundreds of videos, millions of views and tens of thousands of followers.

I wasnt spamming anything either, just downloading a dozen or so videos, optimizing and changing them and uploading to their other channel.

Fortunately YT checked into it found nothing wrong and reactivated the channels, but evidently the software left a footprint that triggered an automatic ban.

So it ended well but it darned well gave me a heart attack. Now I don't use any uploading or downloading scripts.

That Tubenaire looks interesting, may grab a copy and try it out on one of my Youtube dummy accounts.
