    I agree completely

We are here ready to help if we can - just let us know how.

Its so frustrating feeling we can't do anything to help when I for one really want to.

I could tell because your user name isn't really a name at all. If you want to feel like a full-fledged member, you may want to submit a ticket to the Help Desk requesting them to change your user name to your real first and last name.

        Just a suggestion.

        All the best,
        Michael

A large group's character and ethical base is usually determined from examples of those they perceive to be leaders.

Setting a great example for others to follow Allen, nice.

The day I woke up to the tragic news, my very first thought was for Kevin Riley and Craig Desorcy. I have both of them on Skype and contacted them right away.

The word 'relief' doesn't even begin to describe how I felt when they each responded.

It's stuff like this that proves how much of a real and caring community we are fortunate enough to belong to (apologies for the run-on sentence).

    All the best,

I agree Michael. The WF is like no other place online (or for the most part offline too) in how it helps it's members. I love watching the outpouring of support for things like this. Another good example of the WF at work is the http://www.warriorforum.com/off-topi...m-w-month.html thread for Kim.

      Best wishes,
      Sylvia

Count me in for anything needed. I don't live terribly far away so if anyone up there needs a place to stay during the interim period of uncertainty just contact me. As with everything else Allen mentioned, if I can help I will.

So sweet Allen. That's why this is such a great community to me. So many caring people who have each others' backs behind the scenes.

I tried sending a care package to Craig but he didn't want me to. Please let me know if anyone does request something so I can contribute.

I try to tell my children to enjoy something EVERYDAY.

We wish our Japan friends the best during this tragic time and hope for their safety.

Quite possibly the funniest ebay listing ever. This bloke is a legend doing this for charity. Make sure you take the time to read the full listing and all the answers he gives to the feedback comments. 95% of proceeds are going to the Japan earthquake appeal.

XCEL 3-2mm Infiniti Drylock Summer Wetsuit Medium USED on eBay (end time 21-Mar-11 20:03:15 GMT)

Bids are currently at over £11,000 as this listing grows more popular more and more companys are donating merchandise to the listing.

            Thanks Allen

Here in Osaka, we are fine. My brother-in-law's wife was in hospital in Natori (near the ocean by Sendai) and had just given birth. The hospital survived. Here parents house survived, which is a miracle as much of Natori is flattened.

Right now, the parents, our sister-in-law, and her sister are living in the second floor of the parents' house. The sister's house was demolished and her husband is still MIA. Rieko and I are waiting for transportation to go up and help the family, but looks like weeks before the Shinkansen will run again. May be able to fly up soon, though.

In the meantime, they have food and water and are doing well. Others have not been so lucky and the sad stories of lost relatives abound. But, already, our country is rebuilding. I'm proud of Japan.

    Greetings from Chiba, too-close-for-comfort, Japan.

I just saw this and another thread here in the forum where Warriors were checking in on us J-Warriors and sending their well wishes.

Just wanted to personally let you know how much that is appreciated!

James Brown, Stuart Stirling and I were all in Tokyo when it hit. It was many hours before we were able to communicate with our wives and families - fortunately, they were all safe. As you've heard, many were not so lucky. There are over 300,000 people homeless, freezing and starving in shelters just north of us. The number of people who were killed, drowned, washed away and/or still missing is up to 20,000 now.

The nuke plant with 6 reactors - almost all in various states of failure is just 140 miles north of us. We are told the radiation is not an issue where we are, but the story keeps changing. Now they are detecting it in our water supply and food supply - and banning the sale of vegetables and milk from farms just north of us.

We have had over 600 (six hundred) earthquakes since the big one hit - the ground does not stop shaking.

    We do not sleep.

Thankful to be alive - but at this point, considering relocating for a while until things settle down.

Thank goodness we have a lifestyle that is mobile!

If you want to help out - the Red Cross Japan is a good place to start - they are providing relief directly to the destroyed towns and shelters right now.

Again, thanks so much for your thoughts and well wishes.

    Sincerely,

    James B. Allen and family.
