Hey guys!

I'm pretty good at affiliate marketing and can almost completely automate my whole work. Now I have much time left every day and want to step into another internet marketing business.

I always wondered how people start a forum.
I mean I can set up a forum using a software and my forum is online. ok, so far so good.

Now why should people sign up to my forum when there is no information?

Depends on what you are trying to sell. You are correct people need something to pull them in to sign up for a forum. Do you run make money online websites? Start by giving out free info.

Perhaps make it an affiliate forum. Make it a new place where internet marketers can gather to share their advice. If your able to get traffic, then use your skills in affiliate marketing to get people to join the forum.

What is the purpose of the forum, are you trying to get a list with it? Let us know why you are creating it, and what value it will offer to your visitors.

    To your success!

I built a forum easily on one of my niche wordpress blogs. I used the mingle forum plugin (its free) and it looks very clean and was super easy to set up.

The hard part will be getting traffic and posts in the forum. I'm working on that, lol.

    Good Luck Hope This Helps

It is a very tough gig in this old part of town to get some lovin on a forum and a lot of hard work, there is a wso that grabs yahoo answers posts here for smf ? or you could if your system imports feeds just try it your self with an api.

you can get forum posters on fiver as well that may work, and as mentioned start adding your own content and offers as well.

a chicken and egg type system really / maybe some people could do a barter post swap to help each other out ? but that would depend on topic / people

Just start by checking out simple machines. It's the most common and popular forum software and it's completely free with TONs of addons and plugins to meet your needs.

If your host features Fantastico in CPanel then there is usually a couple of easy install option such PHPBB or Simple Machines. That's the easy bit. Getting people to start using the forum is more tricky. And making money from them is even harder.
