Should I cloak or not?

Just a quick question about cloaking a link. I can see the benefits to protect and encrypt our affiliate links. Is Link Masking comparable to Link Cloaking? I read a recent article where Google will penalize you for Cloaking. If that is the case please advise? Where can I go to discover a good link cloaking product?

    it depends on you're expertise. It depends if you use wordpress or plain html. There's one called ninja cloaker that seems to get good results, but never quite tried it. I prefer to use straight redirect codes, so that people think they're going to a page withing my website and not an outside source.
