Change Your Article Format...

Hey Guys,

Thought I would impart a tip for you if you are article marketing that seems to be working well for me.

Change your article format - meaning instead of the age old "10 tips to flog a dead horse!" try changing the way you actually write for better results.

Now this has nothing to do with the amount of views you get for your article I am meaning more the positions in Google.

I have found MUCH better results with the argument article format of late:

X Vs Y - Which One's Better And Y?

Or "In depth articles"

[product name] - An In Depth Look At How It Works!

Then when you are writing the main content split it all up into sections with a conclusion at the bottom.

Might be nothing, but it is working for me.

Give it a go...

Oh and make sure the content is VERY good!

Chris

These two are both way better titles than "10 Tips To ...".

"10 Tips To ..." is an awful title.

Having a major keyword at the start of the title is a huge advantage.

You are exactly right, Alexa, as always when it comes to article marketing. I'm surprised by the number of folks who don't recognize that keyword placement is just as important as keyword density.

Additionally, many people don't recognize the difference between writing for human consumption and search engine ranking. There is overlap, of course, but there are certainly fundamental differences in how articles are managed depending on whether the audience is a real person or a computer.

I am guilty of overusing the "10 Tips to..." format (although 7 is my favorite) Thanks for providing some alternatives that work!

    @Chris,

You could have written an article showing us 10 reasons why your format is better...

    Or even better:

    1. "[product name] - An In Depth Look At How It Works!" - An In Depth Look At How It Works!

    or

    2. "X Vs Y - Which One's Better And Y?" Vs "10 tips to flog a dead horse" - Which One's Better And Y?
