There are still several of you who are submitting your articles with no links in your resource boxes. The only reason I can think of why you would be doing this is because you didn't know you should, or you simply don't know how to do it. So I am going to quickly show you how to create resource box links that will get those prospects to your site! It’s very simple, really. All you have to do is surround the link text you want to use with an <a href> tag. In front of your link text you will type this: <a href="http://www.YourWebSite.com"> and after your link text, you simply type this: </a> As an example, if I were writing a resource box to get people to my article directory, I would type this directly into the resource area as you see it here: Our article authors are simply the best you will find on any <a href="http://www.website-articles.net/learnmore.php">article directory</a> on the internet today! If you are looking for <a href="http://www.website-articles.net">free website content</a> then look no further because you simply won't find better free content online! Visit <a href="http://www.website-articles.net">www.Website-Articles.net</a> today and see for yourself. Notice that I used the text links of "Article Directory" and "Free Website Content" because that is what I want those particular pages to rank for in the search engines. When the article is accepted and published online, it will look like this: Our article authors are simply the best you will find on any article directory on the internet today! If you are looking for free website content then look no further because you simply won't find better free content online! Visit www.website-articles.net today and see for yourself. Easy enough? Now there's no excuse for you to NOT link to your website from your resource boxes! If you have not been creating text links in your resource box, START DOING THIS TODAY! In fact, I highly suggest you go back to the articles you have already submitted and add text links to your resource boxes. Respectfully, Allen Graves p.s. This was an excerpt from a members-only newsletter. This particular information is not exclusive, therefore I decided to paste it here in order to help those who are just starting out in the article marketing world! |

Another mistake people make is including the URL but not making it clickable so the reader has to copy/paste it, which many won't bother doing. I'm also amazed how many people link to pages that don't exist- either they don't test before submitting the article or take down a page after the article is published, sometimes let the domain expire. It might be a good idea to keep a list of your pages your articles link to so you don't later delete them or let the domain die. |

Yes good point, I have also seen this .. I think some are used to those sites that turn any http into a link. There are some artile directories that require the html and then others that do not .. Dealing with many directories sometimes this can get a bit confusing as some of them also dont allow html even in the resource box. James

If you submit manually, you should be very familiar with which directories allow html and which don't. If not, you're not submitting enough articles! Allen |

I can pretty much tell now with the ones I deal with.. I am kinda of surprised at the amount of traffic my articles do get from ArticleDashboard, the traffic is actually not bad at all and I currently only have about 10 articles posted with them.. I know I need to submit more.. but as we always say "never enough time in a day" ..lol James

NO doubt! Time is short these days. But hopefully, those who have been leaving the live links out of their resource boxes can spend the extra 10 seconds to get so much more in return! AL |
