Hey folks and I have a quick question.

If your doing Facebook advertising, which is better, bringing people to your fan page or squeeze page?

I would say that it really depends upon your advertising objectives.

Is your goal to have Facebook users engage with your Page so that you can increase your brand awareness, or is your goal to build your opt-in list? Either way, I don't think that you can go wrong, but it is really up to you to define what your want to happen.

    Hopefully my input helps

Ok. Let's forget a moment "branding"...

In terms of dollars or sales, which is better. I had success in squeeze and I'm not sure it's worth to have a fan page.

Seriously, gazillion fans is worthless if you don't make money on it.

Is there a stats how many people who like your page visits your site?

Also, is there a stat on how viral liking a page is? Like if one person "like" a page, how many of his friends visit and "like" the page too?

Who could accurately answer a question like that for you?

Only you can test it and get the answer. It comes down to what is being offered, the sales copy, follow up, how much people like you, lifetime client value etc.

+1. I'm sure FB is a short fuse away from limiting this, so use it while you can.

Really? They haven't had a problem with it for the last couple of years. They are not that stupid. If they start to bite the hands that feed them then they won't be around for too long.

A fan page is only able to exist because of a successful brand or product someone has developed. Why then should you not be able to have things such as squeeze pages on your fanpage?

that would be my advice, as well. The more places you advertise, the better.

There is no hard and fast answer - it really is a test and see results based on the product you are selling.

As a suggestion - If you are driving traffic to an affiliate product I would send them to a landing page first - add some good content and at the bottom add a capture form so you can contact them again. Then send them to the affiliate product.

Keep a good eye on your ads - see what is working and what isn't if they are not producing results, skip it and move to other.

If its your own product you are wishing to promote - definitely connect up your website to facebook and fb to website - cross promotion is the way to go. I have loads of people go from my fb page then to my website - where they use the contact form. Lot's don't like to post directly on the wall when they think it might be a dumb question !!.

If you bring them to a squeeze page they can enter their email and you can do email marketing. they are already on FB though so they won't mind cliking the "Like" button

I would honestly go for a Fan Page on Facebook because you can e-mail your list and the open rate is going to be much higher. I heard you can get something like 90% open rate easily.

It is much easier to ask someone to press Like than asking them to put their e-mail address because they aren't afraid of their privacy. You should do a split test to see if I'm right

I have my own fb page built with thousands of fans with cheap price, simply buy 2000fans=45bucks at Facebooklikeswebsites.com. I can post any legit things I like on my page. I post updates two times per day on my page. Best if people can build fanpage and set the squeeze page up on that fanpage to build the list. You kill two birds with a stone.

    To your success!

Why not do both? Fan pages are better for a personal touch and communication with your followers but a squeeze page is more than needed for it is what you will use to collect leads.

In my opinion, if you want to get more sale, of course to get visitors to squeeze page - this could collect their names and email addresses, which you can do marketing in the future.
Compared Facebook fan page to squeeze page, in most case Facebook fan page help to build reputation. BUT this a continuing period.

But you could also do marketing via a Fanpage, right?

Yes, you are right. Just the different emphasis to this two.
