Hi there.I'm a NEWBIE to IM.Recently I registered for a hosting account with 1GB bandwidth.Do you think that it'll be enough to support traffic for a website selling mini report?Roughly how many visitors can 1GB bandwidth support a month?I'm afraid that my site will crash due to overwhelming traffic and It may effect my sales. Can anyone help me out with this? What is the ideal bandwidth size for a website selling mini report.

Thank You

    1GB bandwidth?
    It's a free hosting account I hope?

How big is the mini report?
How much traffic do you think you can send to it?

How many images etc you have on the page(s)?

These are the things you have to look at first...

No it's not a FREE acc.I paid for it.There would be only one small picture (29.6KB) of the report. The report is 242 KB.And the sales letter will be 2-3 page in length.About the traffic count,I got no idea how much traffic can I bring in.I'm targeting about 10-15 sales per day.Any tips ??

Can you afford $7 per month?

You really... really... need to leave that host.

Do you want search engines to index your site?

Search engines can consume hundreds of MB's per month alone.

A PDF, even a small report will use up your bandwidth after enough downloads.

Get serious- and get yourself some real hosting...

      Best!

        Check out Hostgator...

        600 gig's of space 6000 gig's of bandwidth.

Yes, it will take a little money to make money, but not too much.

It varies widely. You need to find out how much bandwidth is used to load a page on your site. Add up the size of the code and the size of the images and that will tell you how much each page takes. Then determine how many visitors per day you expect, and multiply that by the total page bandwidth.

There's really no way for anyone to tell you for sure without knowing a lot about your site and its contents.

Well if each person who hit it cost you about 300KB then you could handle about 3500 people per month... I think I added that correctly LOL
