What's an infraction?

INTERNET MARKETING

And why do I see an icon and ability to hand them out to others on their posts and pofiles?

There is already the report a post option... so what is the difference between the two?

Though I am much more likely to get one than to hand one out I'd like to know

  I think onle the Mods and Admins can hand out infraction. The other warriors can only report the post

  Is an infraction a moderation tool or a rating tool?
  
  I suspect it has nothing to do with moderation since the report a post feature is for that.
  
  In other forum scripts there is a tit for tat rating system... are "infractions" the opposite of "rep power?"

  At least, people will want to build reputation and post good posts.
  
  And, we will also be able to make good judgement when they come out with a WSO. We can base on the number of infraction and/or reputation.
  
  Imagine someone with 100 infractions and 1 reputation selling a WSO...

Am very new here...how do I "add infraction" and I don't even know what it implies having that tool? Can anyone explain?

A way to report someone who is misusing or taking advantage of forum features.

Any user who is either basic or premium service handler can report his/her partner user who seems to do something bad here

Infraction is simply breaching or breaking any rules / policy made by an authority...
