    I would say that what gives articles value, is the providing of useful information to an audience for which that information is highly relevant.

      That's the best answer right there. Your searchers most likely have some kind of question or problem that they want solved.

      Write with the view of providing the answers and also adding a little personality in it won't hurt. People trust it more when they feel like they are reading the thoughts and solutions from a real person with feelings, instead of just reading cold instructions or sales copy.
