What is the most effective way to get targeted traffic on a continual basis?
HOw long does it take you to build your list? What ways do you increase your traffic fast?
I find that the quantity is not quite as good as quality targeted traffic.

Just curious on many long term IM professionals thoughts..

    Paid traffic. PPC, banners etc. I have watched Frank Kern's video on list building and he also recommended email solo ads.

      Paid traffic is the fastest way for sure.

      Probably the easiest way is to use PPC at one of the search engines such as Google or Bing / Yahoo. Or even a 2nd tier search engine such as Ask.com or AdBrite might be a better place to start.

      If you're more ambitious you can check out the top websites in your niche and see if they have any options to advertise on their sites.

      Advertising in ezines / newsletters can also work out well.

      For free options you can locate top blogs and forums in your niche and participate by leaving quality comments discussing the articles and joining in the forum discussions.

      So many people seem to focus on getting their sites onto page one of Google but.... you know... there's already websites ranking in the top 10. If you take a look at those websites you may find a way to get a link or two back to your own website in exchange for a quality written article or a quality comment left on one of their pages.

    I go for long tail SEO. It's very targeted, continuous, and fast (because it's significantly easier to rank a ton of 1 longtail keywords than 1 competitive keyword).

      You're right : Pay per clicks such as Adwords, I find can be expensive especially without much experience in doing it.
      Getting links for quality comments and / or articles for traffic ranking is a good idea! I will try it.
