Sales video on every page? ... or not..

I recently had a site make-over which has a short sales video on the index page you can see here:

Now I frequently have blog posts like this one: poker tournament strategy

Click for large view - Uploaded with Skitch

where traffic goes directly to that URL. Meaning they may never see my sales video, only a sign up offer. Soooo...

1- Would you have the sales video on every page like I am trying now?

2- If so, would you make the video bigger on the blog posts?

3- Would you replace it with a more descriptive sign up box?

Split testing is not so easy to do in Joomla for sub pages so that is why I am asking here.

I quite like the concept of having the video there - but it's a bit small right now. I would leave it where it is, at the size that it is, but caption it with an overlayed bit of text saying 'Watch how we can help you win' (or something) above the play button. When they click on it, the full sized video and a very clear signup link appears in a CSS popup, and the rest of the site fades darker.

Perhaps you could look into having a JavaScript modal box pop-up on load with the rest of the screen being put behind an opacity layer of say 40% black or something?

Good idea, if the visitor has seen the video upon first entering your site, there is not a lot of reason for them to watch it again- just sayin'.

You need to test. But I have tried it many different ways and for the blog the two method I have found work best are... 1. Have the actual video. 2. Have an image of the video and when they click play a popup pops that says enter your name and email to see the video.

I would have video on as many pages as possible.
In my experience I love it.
