I just realized I might be building my site wrong!
So I have a blog (signature), but what I post on that blog is mainly information relating to computers and technology, but little of it is in "how to" format or includes my opinion or even my "voice", that is, the way I write. I belive that I need to separate the information and build static pages for the bare information, while attempting to add interesting things such as ideas, news, how to's, and reviews on my blog.

What do you think?

Blogs are all about opinions, reviews, etc... I am computer expert actually trying to make my way in Internet Marketing but I can assure you about the two facts:
    - I visit blogs to read about experiences
    - I visit manufacturers site to get the manuals, product info, etc.

Yes, that is what i had confused. I was putting information instead of opinions in my blog, rather than making static pages for the information.

Just take care that you are offering something your users would be interested and never let down on the quality of your blog.. Otherwise you are going great..

it all depends on the outcome / goal that you want.

if you want search engine traffic... then everything you do must be based on how people search and the terms you can rank for.

if you are just trying to build a following... perhaps make some controversial posts and put them in places that your critics hang out.

if you are trying to sell affiliate stuff... focus on keywords, getting a following, and sending them to offers.

without a target goal in mind you are just spinning your wheels

It depends entirely on what you're attempting to create here.

If you're looking to create a nice blog with a lot of personality talking about technology and computing, then that's fine.

If you're looking to build a static website that's pretty much just information on technology and computing, then that's also fine.

There's no need to combine the two.
