How To Get Around The Clickbank No-Upsell!

Howdy!

I'll be setting up a site selling a Blueprint - an eBook, I read on another thread to label it something else to give more perceived value - for $47 but for $97 I want to upsell membership to another site I will set up with video content (mainly) that is directly related to the Blueprint.
(The membership site would not be a recurring payment model - just one off, say $97 or $147 full price.)

Clickbank offers an upsell option, however you need to have sold at least 5000 units, have less than 10% returns and something else too that I can't remember. I have none of these!

My question: Is there a way to get around this?

Like, maybe provide some sort of coupon code or use their receipt number from the Blueprint purchase to then go to the membership site and access a discount. That's all I can come up with.

If I could do this, my next question would be: Does Clickbank allow you to have multiple sites (or just 2) under the same account selling different products?

Any other ideas?

Thanks for any help in advance.

Regards,
Mick

Cause of my low post-count, I can't PM you or even leave a visitor message! If you have the time, my email is mickholmesmusic-at-gmail-dot-com

      Cheers

Yeah I just realized because of my low count I can't even respond to a PM. I did send you an email.

Just for the record, I corresponded with Adrian at EasyClickMate and he said that the software doesn't allow you to up-sell on ClickBank. Once a customer gets to your site, ECM doesn't have much more effect. It's more for your affiliates.

But I have to say his attention was top-notch. Great non-customer service. That alone is urging me to buy the product anyway!

          Thanks Adrian.

            There are three potential solutions...

            1) Contact CB and ask them to make an exception. Maybe they will, maybe they won't, but it's worth a try.

            2) Use a pre-purchase upsell where you put the upsell page before the order form and go for the upgrade, continuity, or other addition before they buy (you would set up different versions of the same product with different features, ad-ons, and pricing).

            3) Use a post purchase upsell after the thank you page, but without the 1-click feature (they'll have to enter their card number again). Not as responsive as 1-click (about 1/3 as many conversions), but better than nothing.

You might also want to just build the continuity into the front end product itself.

How do all the marketers who've never sold on clickbank before suddenly come along and release products with 4 or upsell/downsells?

You really have to have shifted 5000 units on clickbank as a vendor before you can add upsells? That could take ages.

I can answer only your second question:-

(Where does this "2" come from?).

You can sell up to 500 different products from one account, but they must share one marketplace listing and one commission-rate.

Additional accounts cost $29.95 (rather than $49.95) each, for the product-activation fee, though.

There's also software you can use to get round this problem. "Easy Clickmate" is one variant.

When you said "one commission-rate" you meant percentage and not dollar value right?

Yes - percentage. The products don't all have to be the same price.

Thanks for the info. and link to easy clickmate! That's great

The "2" - I was referring to me just wanting to have 2 different sites under the same account, not necessarily multiple sites.

The reason I want to use Clickbank is because most of my competitors use it so I'm thinking that people looking to promote might come across mine. Then again, maybe that's a reason to be different, dunno...

1ShoppingCart, $99 a month seems a bit much for starting out at this stage when there are other cheaper options.

      Cheers

I posted a solution here but it was deleted even though it is in line with Clickbanks TOS. (I asked them). If you have purchased any of Ewen Chia's stuff you have seen it in action.

So since someone didn't like it you can pm me if you didn't see my post.

I've just seen the "Multiquote" button so I will use that in future, just in case it seemed like I was trying to up my post-count by replying to each message individually.

        Apologies.

P.S. This forum kicks some serious butt!!!

P.P.S. One more set of questions:
Does EasyClickMate handle the digital product delivery? Whether that is download page, username & password, or both.
I'll be using Aweber - could I integrate when a sales happens to send out an email with download links + username/password?
I came across dlinx.net but they charge 2% per transaction plus the download page is at a dlinx.net address.

Like Alexa said, Easy Clickmate allows you to do this.

While right now you can sell up to 500 products though one CB account, affiliates can promote only the first (main) product in your account because of the way the hoplink system is set up and the fact that you can only present one landing page in any one account. With something like ECM you can have affiliates promote any product you offer in an account.

ECM use can also increase the CB gravity of your main product because affiliate sales from secondary products will all funnel through your main account thus boosting the grav. of your primary product.

I found the installation to be a challenge but I'm not a techie guy. Adrian and his people will install it for you for only $30 (recommended).

Also, if you use Clickbank's one click up-sell, I'm pretty sure you can offer affiliates different commission rates on the various products in your one click up-sell sales funnel.
