|  Setting Up RSS and Ping For My blog
Hi everyone, I have a couple of blogs. But I'm not sure what I should be doing about RSS feeds and pinging. I've heard a lot here lately about this, and I'm aout of my depth! Each of my new posts has the "allow pings" box checked. So is that all I need to do as far as "pinging" goes, or am I missing something? And are there 2 or 3 sites I should be submitting my RSS feed to? Which ones? I'm a little lost... |

as far as I know your blog should automatically pinging and you have nothing else to worry about. however if you rely on "pinging" to bring traffic you are crazy, go promote your stuff  |

I'm not relying on pinging to bring in traffic. I currently do everything *but* this, and I'm making sure that I'm not missing an opportunity. I'd still like to know if I should be submitting my blog's rss feeds to anywhere in particular... |

There are several directories you can submit your RSS feed to, just search on Google for 'RSS Directories' or 'Submit RSS feed' etc. RSS Mountain is a good place to start. Tim |

Hi, For every new RSS feed I get, I run it through: RSS Feed Directories Tool - RSS Announcer Software It will submit your feed to many directories and everytime you post, all of those services will get updated! Check it out. Jamie |

What blog software are you using? *Sometimes* you have to install a plug-in.
