My first job (ok, after dog sitting and the paper route) was working at a golf course. I started out on the driving range (I was one of those guys you aim at when they're on those carts picking up range balls... very few people have good aim, thankfully). Then I moved up to the executive course (glorified par 3), and finally the clubhouse. At the "top of my game", I made $8.20 an hour. Before taxes. That was during high school and college. I didn't get a job after college... I did random stuff like living in the Caribbean and starting a foundation. Unfortunately I'm not a trust fund baby, so I learned to pay my way with freelancing, copywriting, and internet marketing. Now, after being in business for less than 2 years, I make about $300-$400 per hour I put in "on the job", and I can do fun things like run $30k WSOs. Preposterous! So if you think you need a special degree... or certain experience... or technical skills... or any other "qualification" to make it as an internet marketer... I would have to disagree ![]() -Brian |

The most I ever made offline at a job was $14.73/hour and I'd been there for 12 years. Even with tons of overtime, it amounted to about $30K per year, and a whole bunch of stress-related issues that I didn't need. I've never been happier than since I started working for myself in my online business, and even though there are some slow months, my income is more than at my old job. As borilbogoev said - thanks for the inspiration. It shows that if someone really wants to better themselves they can do it with the proper effort and ambition. Denise |

Yeah i'm back in college strictly just to be the only family member to get a degree... otherwise i would have no problem simply doing what i do now. which i plan on continuing to do even after my degree. i guess i would rather work for myself and take my chances, then get in 60k worth of debt and work entry level positions for a couple years... thank god for IM |

Hey Brian congrats bro. I hope this question doesn't fall into the "how much do you make" category but are you an affiliate marketer, CPA, or an own-products kind of guy? If you're like me you're a bit of everything ![]() Really though, you're a great inspiration. Louis |
