INTERNET MARKETING

Guys,

I'm working a new site that is going to be huge. It's going to give tons of info on a certain subject. (Sorry can't tell you what).

I already have twitter setup for it.. but am considering facebook as well...

I just don't know if I should get a fan page or a regular page or something else... and how exactly to use facebook for this purpose, basically getting more people to this site and interested in this subject..

Any tips or recommendations?

Vivek,

Link up your site with a Facebook page. Include a link TO your site, from your Facebook page, and include an area on your site where users can easily "like" your fan page.

Hi X3, Where/how would you link the fanpage to the site?

I know you can include a link in the fanpage and in a welcome page but not sure where else.

Great idea to use Facebook. Please also note that after just 25 likes, your Facebook page will act like a URL on the internet. Facebook is probably going to be the next big search engine, matching Google or passing them.

Go for it!

There isn't on person out there that will tell you NOT to get your site linked up with facebook.

Other than traffic, facebook could be a great way to get close to your fans and really initiate conversation with them.

Another cool thing is the new change to Iframes, which means you could create a small website within your fan page and even put an opt-in easily to capture more emails for your list!

Def set up a fan page and drive people to it - make sure you entice them to "like" you. I wrote a whole WSO report about this very thing and trust me fb can be very lucrative. i'm making $2,000 - $3,000 every month from it, without running any ads. :p

Fanpage would probably be your best bet here. A regular page will only allow you to connect with 5000 people max and if it's going to be as big as you say it is then it will probably need more than 5000.

Look into Groups before you make the page. Groups let you send messages to the fans while Pages let you send updates that are harder to get read. Just depends on what purpose you will be using it for.
