Transparent image .. How can i do this....

Hi All

Any suggestions on this one?

Transparent image that I want to transfer onto a white background. The thing is every time I create a new layer and transfer the transparent image onto the white layer I can't see the image. I need it to be on a white background so I can apply a filter to it.

Any suggestions?

If I save it as a JPG it just saves as a blank white image with no actual image showing

    Save it in Transparent ".png" format with the background transparent and the foreground solid.
