Hey warriors,

I have a question for you:

If you had to generate 1000 of subscribers in 30 days, what would you do?

(As we all know - money is in the email list, and I have no doubt about that...)

Would you use SEO, articles, videos or what?

It would be really interesting to hear from you, especially if you're experienced internet marketer

Quality Facebook pages would be an answer to this. I assume that you have lots of facebook friends for sure.
But, this would not be targeted ofcourse. So, I am too waiting for other answers.

Using a combination of targeted ezine solo ads and syndicated articles, I consistently generate far more than 1,000 subscribers per day.

I don't know what you mean by "paid strategy". It's just a simple strategy. Find a lucrative market (the more competitive the better), then find relevant ezines to send targeted solo ads. If the ads pull, I will also submit articles to these ezine publishers, as most of them are hungry for quality content for their newsletters.

To find targeted ezines, I use the Directory of Ezines (directoryofezines.com) which lists ezine publishers by niche, and includes the number of subscribers, demographics, ad rates, etc. Most ezine publishers will also accept article submissions.

Currently I'm in dozens of some of the hotest and most competitve niches, and always adding more niches. With a good sales funnel and consistent (daily) advertising and article submissions, it's typical for me to build or add 50,000+ to a list of buyers within a month.

Matt, Paul is really talking about purchasing solo ads from these ezines. They are targeted by niche, so you'd of course want to run your solo ads using the relevant niche ezines (not to be confused with EZA).

the targeted ezine solo ads are like adwords? not really sure what they are.

It's really nothing like adwords. A solo ad is a stand alone ad (typically up to 50 lines of text formatted to standard email width of 60 characters per line) that is sent by an ezine publisher to their list of subscribers.

If you go to directoryofezines.com, you can subscribe to Charlie Page's ezine and you will get his ebook free "Ezine Traffic Formula". There is no cost for this.

The DOE membership is $197, for unlimited use of the directory list of ezines organized by market niche. You can of course do a search for these ezines individually, but the DOE makes it much easier and lists the number of subscribers, demographics, ad rates, etc. The membership also includes loads of tutorials, videos and tips for maximizing your ad conversions.

To get an example of solo ads, check out solo-ads.com. I use this quite often to test new ideas. You can send solo ads free by earning "ad credits" through reading other subsribers' solo ads. It also has a paid option for you to send solo ads to 3,000 for $25. It's a free/inexpensive method to test solo ads.

WHAT? Survey your list and see what there wants needs and desires are and find out what product they are intrested in buying.

Create the product fitting there wants needs and desires.

Mail your list = Make money

    Add it to your funnel.

    What niche?

If you're selling something in the "make money from home" niche, you shouldn't have to ask this question.

Paul is right on about the ezine solo ads. I started implementing them 2 weeks ago in a few of my niches when I saw one of his posts and I do not regret spending the investment lol. 1000 in a month would not be a problem.

    Hi Matt,
I would say that Adwords, article, video,Facebook and even forum marketing can build you that big a list in 30 days.

If you have the budget then you can use Adwords.Obviously that is one of the fastest way to get leads.

But if you are on a limited budget then I would advise you to use a combination of article, video, forum marketing and adswaps.

Suppose you write 5 articles a day then at the end of the month you'll be having 150 such articles.Even if an article brings you just 10 visitors, you'll getting a total of 1,500 visits. Now if your squeeze page converts anywhere between 50-75%,you'll be having that number.

In the same way, video and forum marketing too can bring you that no.You'll just need to be persistent.

Once you get a couple hundred subscribers with any of the above mentioned methods, you can start doing adswaps. That is the absolute fastest way of increasing the size of your list. You can find dozens of like minded adswaps partners at Safe-swaps.com ,IMadswaps.com or even here at the warrior joint venture section.

Starting with a seed list of 200-300,you can easily reach 1,000 subscriber mark with adswaps in one month.

Matt, if your budget is limited then videos and articles are obviously some of the better ways to drive free traffic to your site, as well as social media. Solo ads can actually work amazingly well; if you're on a budget, what you could do is pay for a small mailing, and rinse and repeat with bigger ones if it converts as and when your budget allows. Some judicious ad swapping would not be a bad idea either, but make sure that the list you're swapping with is closely related to yours.

The most important issue here is "What do you have to give to people to want to subscribe?" If you find out what the latest trend is, what people are looking for, what people want fixed and then offer a report that will address their problems with a piece of information that might help them then you will have a chance for your subscribers.

Offer content that will help people with their situation and use PPC to promote your site then you'll have a chance to reach your goal of 1000 subscribers in 30 days.

    Hey Matt,

ezine solo ads are a great way to go, the directory of ezines is a good source ( unfortunately you have to pay to become a member) If not just type in your niche followed by ezine into google e.g. Fishing ezine. I would subscribe to a couple first and check them out, if they offer great content that is an indication they are half way decent.

    Good luck

I would just stick to what I know about which is SEO and articles. I would submit quality articles pointing directly to my squeeze page.

I would have a good incentive for the readers to sign up like a free ebook or email course on whatever the topic is.

Articles and SEO kind of go together so I would focus on getting quality backlinks to the site on top of the articles.

Signing up for popular forums could be a good idea although it is hard to find a forum that allows a little self promotion depending on what the topic is.

Hey mate, it depends on what kind of subscribers you're looking for. If you're looking for untargeted subscribers, you might want to create a YouTube channel or a viral Facebook Fan Page. If you're looking for internet marketing subscribers or other large industry leads like weight loss or forex, then ad swaps are a great way to go. If you're looking for any other target market in smaller industries such as dog training, violin lessons or recipes, article submissions would be great because your signature link in the author's box can lead to a squeeze page with will get them to give you their email info. Hope that helps.

    Hi Matt,

I would also vote for Facebook and social media. It is actually much easier to get even more than a 1000 in 30 days.

Best combo is fan pages with opt in boxes, multiple fan pages and outsourcing the posting on ppls walls, other niche specific fanpages, groups.
Offer free advice or anything valuable to your customers.
an other day I was posting an iFrame video on my fanpages and got over a 100 signups in a few hours, less than a day. So it is certainly working for me!.

I hope it helps, if you need any further info, please drop me a pm. Happy to help any time!

As far as I know, ezine publishers do not charge for accepting articles. In fact, they are hungry for quality content to send to their subscribers. This topic, "article marketing", has been discussed extensively in the forum. Do a search for "syndication" with particular attention to successful marketers such as Bill Platt and Alexa Smith.

As I briefly mentioned ezine publishers found in the Directory of Ezines will often accept relevant articles. It is highly recommended that you submit quality articles to EZA as well; not necessarily for backlinks or traffic (although this happens as a by-product), but to be found by publishers sourcing for content.

The best source I have found for finding niche ezine publishers for purchasing solo ads is the Directory of Ezines (directoryofezines.com). I've been using that for nearly 10 years not only for targeted solo ads, but also for article submissions. You can also check out the JV Forum, which has a huge array of solo ads and other advertising options.

What I do is query the ezine publisher with a couple of paragraphs from the article and a link back to my website for the complete article. My niche website showcases all the other articles regarding the topic to establish authority for the subject.

In addition, I write about two additional paragraphs about my background, playing up to my credentials for writing the article. I'm in several dozen very competitive niches, so I use seperate pen names and email addresses for each niche.

Many of my articles are also published in offline newspapers, trade journals, and magazines which are generating far more quality traffic than anything online. Query methods for these outlets are essentially the same, although may require phone calls, faxing, and snail mail in addition to online inquiries.

Using these article marketing and syndication methods, I generally average about 1,000 - 1,700 new subscribers daily for each of my niches.

With a good budget, PPC is the solution by far.

For free I would have to give away a report, ebook, software, newsletter or something else that niche truly craves and then spend my time (if you can't spend money then you have to spend time) posting in forums and blogs (good content to avoid banning and shuning), submiting articles, twiterring and offering content for links.

With a little money I could go offline and post ads in newspapers and magazines or/and print some flyers and cards.

Personally I have a couple of clean tidy splash pages , too much info and gimics and people don't read it.
Give away something as an incentive for their name and email.
As for traffiic sources - safelists, text ads, banner ads and Traffic exchanges are all free (the latter are surfers who are after more traffic tips or MLM marketers building a downline)
Get the list and then prmote affilite links - the money is in the list is so true

If interested I have 3 pdf's - paid traffic, free traffic and blogging. I got these free and have used the ideas with a modicum of success

This is going to look like shameless plugging... but it's true so what the hell...

I got a PM 2 days ago from someone that purchased my WSO at the start of the month (It was WSO on Lightning Fast List Building, link in my sig if you want to check it out)

He followed what I taught him and went from ZERO to 1500 subs in a fortnight.

    I'm like a proud parent, I tell ya :-)

    Peace and cinnamon waffles

    Hey Matt,

Ironically enough, if I did PPC i might do that, but I don't, so my option would be to do Ezine Advertising, and exhaust the turds out of the list. Given the fact that you've tested for a week (so sure we can include it in the time frame) I'd hit them with a few sponsored ads for another week, and then pound it with solo ads, and I'd have my 1000 QUALITY subscribers by the end of the month

    Take care,

    Bobby Freiler
