How do you advertise on Amazon? What's the best method?

For example...

Do you create one website dedicated to just one product? Or do you create one website dedicated to an entire sub-niche?

Originally I was planning on making a website dedicated to affordable gaming laptops (my area of expertise) and I was going to advertise via review on a wide variety of gaming laptops based on price and needs.

Unfortunately, the $25 commission cap was just too much of a turn-off for me to even bother going with that plan. Now that I'm back to step one (choosing a niche), I don't even know how to start.

I have had success in both fields.

You can setup a review site that will cover a niche which is great for readers when they can't decide what to buy. Whats better for a potential buy than a site that reviews everything they need in one place? Whats better for you than a hungry buyer?

I have another niche that has loads of subniches and I sometimes post reviews for single products then backlink to them and they have converted as well.

The best thing to do is try both and see what converts. Make sure you get your keywords right and once you get people interested pump it with back links.

I do it by product.. I find it easier to manage and rank for terms that I want.

      istealsushi,

If you do a search on this forum, there are some great threads with a wealth of information on how to make money from Amazon.

I also recommend IPK (Info Product Killer) and Deadbeat Super Affiliate (formerly Profitzon) by Dan Brock. If you put a fraction of their advice into practice you will see good results.

Both use several products on one site. Even though IPK has tighter On Page SEO, it still has several other products on each site, but also links to other small sites. I've seen others have success with only one product per site, but I personally like a lot more pages per site, with still very targeted keywords.

      Good luck
