Fellow warriors I need your help! I am currently number 2 (and 3) for the search term Paul Guilfoyle tax. I know it's not that difficult to achieve, not a hugely competitive term. However, if you have the time to read on you will understand my problem and also hopefully be a little amused. I was once sent an email by someone asking me along the lines was I the Paul Guilfoyle of CSI ie am I Captain Jim Brass? He said he was my biggest fan and if I was it would be great if I got in touch. He went on to say of course if I wasn't don't bother  Well, as a Chartered accountant and UK tax specialist my reputation is very important and I am compelled to operate with utmost integrity. I hope and believe I am regarded as an upright and honest citizen. Just checking some keyword rankings tonight I was therefore distraught to find the no. 1 and 2 google rankings as follows: 1 Notorious gangster Mickey Cohen (Paul Guilfoyle, CSI ) has just been put away for income tax evasion, and now a bunch of his heroin is missing. ... Well, now this post and your profile here rank higher then those terms in my data center. If you are really serious about it I would get a domain even if is a free domain with those keywords like the above poster suggested. I bet as soon as that domain is indexed you would rank number 1 without doing much of anything.

I don't really understand what I'm seeing here. I just checked google and within half an half hour of posting, this very thread took me to no. 1 for Paul Guilfoyle tax. Then 5 minutes later it's disappeared and my original no. 2 is now no. 6. Any google ranking experts out there? Paul |

Google is fickle; check back and thing will probably be shuffled again. Most likely back to the way you saw it first. When I checked on that search term, this thread from the Warrior Forum came up in first place, so you've probably already beat the person in the number one spot.

Yes you're absolutely right. The TV show is now number 3. This thread got me thinking about the power of headlines.I think if I had used a different headline in my post I could have got a lot more views and maybe responses which would have given this post even more google cred. I think the subject heading : "Tax evasion and heroin as a niche" may have attracted a lot of interest. However, I certainly don't want to be associated with these terms. I'll leave that to the TV show | |
