Making Money From "FREE" Products

So I wanted to make a free video lesson on how to dominate niches with free websites such as weebly or blogger blogs. I was thinking about putting up a capture page then once people entered their name and email they get sent to the thank you page.

The thank you page has a hotfile link. Instead of having people buy the course I rather give it to them for "free". The only problem I face is that these "free" sites dont pay out to well. Is their a site that anyone knows of that pays better then $2 for every 1,000 downloads or so?

TrialPay: The industry leader in transactional advertising and a trusted partner of Facebook, CNET, Skype, Netflix, WinZip, Fandango and thousands of other premier brands or http://peanutlabs.com are two of the best in the business. Facebook uses them for selling credits, as do many other well known companies.

I just wanted to add that trialpay pays anywhere from $1-$50 per download, so it's far more lucrative than hotfile.

Yes! It's called an affiliate program or your own product.

You can offer your video "free" for a name and email address, and use it to capture names who you can then market to later and sell something that will get you a higher commission per order.

I'm assuming that the only reason you're trying to direct them to hotfile in the first place is because you're wanting to make some money off the back end after they claim their video, right?

Have you thought about a 'Thank You' page offer, instead?

That would allow you to host the video on your own website, but still monetize the back end. I'm sure you could do a lot better than $2 / 1000 views. I can guarantee you that there's a CB product out there that you could offer on your Thank You page that would convert semi well.

Otherwise I would check out the two affiliate programs suggested by Joshua Rigley.
