I am assuming that the 400 targeted visitors are on your Squidoo lens?

If so, is there any way to make the link to your money page more visible? I had a difficult time finding it.

Also, rather than saying, "check out the website now", I would be more direct and say, "CLICK HERE" on the link which takes the reader to your money website.

    • As Brian said, your call to action is way too "invisible". There is a squidoo module, can't remember the exact name but it's something with arrows (2 big orange arrows) or a big colored box where you put your link in.

It really has to stand out from the rest of your lens because a lot of people are just skimming over all the text and if nothing catches their attention, they'll move on. Your car auction link is WAY too small.

Internet marketing is broken down into 3 main parts:
    traffic+offer+conversions=$$.

    that's it in a nutshell.

You've got 400 targeted visitors, so traffic isn't your problem.
You have an offer that may be compelling, but your call to action
    isn't strong enough.

Find the big arrow module for your squidoo lens and installn the link
to your offer there. make it a strong simple call to action, such as:

People are simple creatures. If you give them simple and clear directions,
many of them will take action if your copy is good enough.

Make that adjustment and make it easy for your visitors to take action.

    Hope you make 1,000 sales!

Make sure your copy is up to scratch. There are a lot of missing capital letters and other kinds of errors. Be as professional as possible, and if necessary get a professional writer to go over it.

As some other posters have said, there's not a strong enough call to action. I wouldn't be too quick to dismiss the possibility of issues with the traffic itself, but you can worry about that once the other aspects are improved. Strengthen that copy and have the link screaming out at the visitors.

A lot of things effect conversions. I don't know how many clicks your link is getting, but the page you're linking to plays a big part in the conversions too. When I sell someone else's product or service, I always find out what their overall conversion rate is first.

Not too bad, I've seen people with thousands of traffic without a sale at all. If sonehow you can convert these visitors into optins. Warm them up a bit with some valuable free information from your followups, and I'm convinced you'll make more sales. There are also loads of ads and links on the page can lead to confusion. Finding your offer page wasn't that easy for me.

  • Also, perhaps you might want to try switching with another product and see if it converts better for you?

aggiwarsame, Congratulations on reaching out for help here on the Warrior Forum! And how awesome of the folks here to offer their help.

I would be happy to help you w/ the writing for free. I'm a professional technology writer of 15 years (my specialty was de-geeking geek speak) and am now wanting to launch an online IM writing biz. Just google my name +"Cynthea Kinnaman" +editor to get a sense of my writing. I hope this is OK that I am doing this and that it's not viewed as shameless promotion. I just thought we could help each other. Let me know if you'd like me to rewrite and/or edit your copy.

      Best to you,

Welcome to the world of the internet.
I have a site that gets 20K visitors a month, but only about 60 sales, but that is for a high margin product. It depends what you are selling, and just because someone found your page doesn´t mean they want to buy anything.
The same holds true for the real world, just because you go into a shop, doesn´t mean you are going to buy something. You might be looking for later, you might be comparing prices, or you might just be bored whilst your girlfriend is looking at shoes.

You can test conversion ratios, mess about with your headlines and so on to your hearts desire, but I would concentate on getting A LOT more traffic to start with, or else your conversion testing won´t mean anything because it is too small a sample to be statistically significant.

  • How do you know they are targeted?
In my opinion, the best targeted traffic is from Google, where people are typing in something like "Car auctions". This means they are actually LOOKING for them, rather than just casually stumbling upon them by surfing from site to site.
The difference is that the search engine traffic will often have their wallets out ready to buy because they decided to sit down and search for the product. The second "surfing" traffic are just browsing around with their wallets nowhere near their pc.

Work on getting targeted search engine traffic. That's all you need to know about IM.

you added the call for action and it looks good.

there is another thing though. The numbers are reasonable

how many clicks out you have?

      400 visitors to your page
how many of those click out? 20%? 10%?

after that you have the conversions of the landing page.

      so 20% of 400 is 80
if you are sending 80 visitors to the landing page, and 1 sale they have a 1.25% conversion, which is reasonable

      your numbers are actually ok
