Hi Guys! Was wondering what your opinions where about cookie hardcoding. What this means is, the FIRST COOKIE always wins the sale, regardless if the potential buyer got convinced to buy on another site that he browsed later, and regardless if he wants to buy from a specific site which offers bonuses he is interested in. I think this may have some advantages, but this is going to favor marketers who already have a list to simply mail to. As I understand it, upon receiving the email, the prospects click the URL and get cookied and hardcoded. Now, the next normal thing for the email recipient to do is go to a search engine and research the product more to get more info, find reviews and bonuses. So if you have a good review or a good bonus, it wouldn't matter... if your review convinced that person to buy the product, the person who gets the credit is the marketer who's list the buyer is subscribed to, the same person who sent out the email that first got the buyer cookied. Any thoughts? |

thinking... if one always purchased their own domain and the forwarded teh buyer to their affiliate link, i'd think that would help guarantee that the cookie stayed yours....?
