Have your competitors give you hundreds of their keywords every month free

Here is a sneaky way to get good keyword ideas.

1. Take one of your non-used domains, doesn't matter what it is. Or buy a new one.
2. Put a wordpress blog theme on the domain.
3. Go to SEO Link Vine, articleranks.com, free traffic system or articlemarketingautomation.com and sign your blog up to have content delivered to it.
4.Pick categories you are interested in.
5.Set the number of articles per day to the max, which is 5 on SEO LinkVine.
6. Check your blog every day for the new articles.
7. Look at the anchor text. Viola! Keyword ideas.

Five articles per day, two keywords each article, 365 days per year = 3,650 keywords per year or 304 new keyword ideas per month.

Another side effect of this, is my PR N/A site that I was doing nothing with is a PR2 with only 115 backlinks. Now I have some ideas for the site too.

Happy Hunting.

That's actually not too bad of an idea I suppose. Depending on how much $$ you're willing to invest in keyword research

Just one of many methods for sure. SEO Linkvine is free to get content though. Not sure about the others.

Another way to get competitor keywords is to buy one of the adwords PPC keyword spy tools. It can be a goldmine for finding competitor keywords.

Absolutely, my homepage went from a PR N/A to a PR 2 in nine months with no link building or writing on my part.

I am setting up a four more and and creating a personal high PR network for my own SEO.

And your competitors will love it too because you're giving them even more links and traffic to their content - everyone's a winner.

An excellent idea, thanks. One thing you might want to watch if you want to use the site for other purposes is the quality of the content. Some of the articles you get with SEO Linkvine are not all that good! Whenever I use it I check the option to manually approve all articles. Of course, this doesn't matter if you are just using it to collect keywords.
