The Easiest way for ANY marketer to Get More Done EVERY day

Do you constantly have "stuff to do online", but never finish it?

Here's a super easy way to re-arrange what you do online and start getting things finished a LOT faster.

Step 1
As soon as you sit down at the computer, have in your mind what goals you want to accomplish...write X amount of articles, shoot X amount of videos, write a short report.... whatever it is that you're working on.

Step 2
BEFORE you check your email.. see what's up on your favorite forums... take a look at your clickbank or paypal account ... Finish your main task.

Sounds simple right? But you'd be amazed at how much more productive you are when you sit down and WORK first and then do other tasks afterwards.

You'll probably say to yourself, heck I can do that...but then in the morning you'll wake up and REALLY want to know who's emailing you, or if anyone responded to your WSO or whatever it is... but don't!

Just jump right in and take care of business to get a task finished, and then move on.

I recently started doing this, and it's a HUGE help.

I still check my emails, see how much I made, and hang out on forums. But I'm getting more accomplished every day, and in this business that's what really counts... taking action and getting it done.

Good tips here for us all.I always want to jump straight in but can't resist my inbox.
    I must try harder.

Yea, it's a lot harder than it sounds. But one thing we all have to keep in mind is that nothing in our email will make us rich today.

We haven't really one the Nigeria Lottery

And everything inside there will be there later. The work we can accomplish saving time by getting a jump start far out weighs the set back of reading a few emails.

I think after you spend a year or two doing the same thing over and over again the urge to reach for the inbox starts to really take hold.

These are good tips but I have to agree with the others - the inbox keeps calling! I know that when I "really" want to get things done and ignore the emails for awhile, I do accomplish a lot and then my reward is checking my email! Only other internet marketers would see that as a reward:-)

An email hack is to schedule specific times to read your email. Put a note in your email signature that there might be a delay because you only check your email at Time 1 and Time 2 (for instance).

Great tips. I always think about the potential outcome of my efforts. It helps to keep me motivated. I tried not looking at my emails first thing in the morning and it helped me get more done. I play games with myself...like okay I can look at email, hootsuite or whatever once I get x done. It's silly but it works!

I tend to make myself a list of things I need to get done. It helps me to feel a little ping of accomplishment after I cross something off. And plus, having your email inbox just waiting for you to finish can be quite a motivator to finish your work first. Its a matter of diligence, I suppose.

Excellent tips, I follow a similar routine. Checking, emails and stats can really slow down a day. I even schedule some "horseplay" time.

    Victor,

For me it came down to one word: OUTSOURCE.

I fought it as long as I could and I was constantly overwhelmed by the amount of stuff that never got done. I'm still not "cured" but I get a lot more done by using my time to organize, plan, and orchestrate while outsourcing to folks on Fiverr, WF and other places.

Since I didn't have a lot of funds upfront, I had to be creative and find places to get quality at good prices. The process, however, gets less and less complex.

I couldn't have said it better myself.

I outsource content and reports for a few niches. But I just started focusing on the Internet Marketing niche after doing others for a few years. (I wanted to make money online before I taught people to make money online...strange eh?)

I could outsource reports for IM too, but the quality wouldn't be what I can personally share and I really feel that quality is what's needed here the most.

So I'm kinda goin back to the grind, and pumpin out content every day. I think I found my calling though... I'm lovin every minute of the content I'm creating, and I'm getting a lot of great reviews on it, which I like even more!

Thanks every one for sharing your pointers here, there's some really good ones, like making a list to help stay focused, and only checking emails at a certain time... (I'm limiting it to 20 minutes too).

Outsourcing is a great strategy to get more done in less time. Once you find a good provider, then you will have more time to do the things you like to do such as checking your email, looking at your clickbank account, or spending time with family.

That's an easy one... I use the night before.

Start with what are known as Monthly projects, then daily functions.
Next schedule what are daily functions from the night before. When you get started - ensure that you clock in at least 4 hrs early. Take a break then clock in another 2 and then in the night you can clock in 2 more, but ensure that you complete what you wanted to do in that day and plan for the next.

Ensure you choose a family day, that means no work... and I mean no work. Daily PERSONAL emails are read during lunch, never have your personal and private emails be the same. You wouldn't have your friends sending you the latest 'OMG did you see that PIC' to your work inbox if you had a 9 to 5 would you, so don't mix the biz with pleasure.
