Do you use Safelists ?

Hi Warriors,

I'm thinking to try some of safelists.
Not to build network, just to pay for some num of emails.

Do you use it?
Any advice for some service?

Thanks,
Nikola

I love people that make blanket statements, yet can't back it up with any facts.

Maybe Mohamed wasted his time and money, but I haven't:

That's a screenshot of my gmail account telling me I made a referral (many) to one of
      my sites.

I called my name for that account Safelist Shit, so I can track it.

That's why the arrow is through the bad word - LOL

Safelists work, but you need to know how to work them.

I've added thousands of subscribers to my list from them and have made
thousands of dollars from those subscribers.

This particular site I'm promoting to them now is converting 5% of new members
      into paid customers.

That's pretty good results if you ask me.

I actually pay someone to submit to them and list builders for me.

Trust me (people that say they don't) - they do work!!!

Ha ha, I agree with you. I use safelist almost everyday to build my business.

But I do agree that small safelist is a waste of time. For a safelist with couple of thousand members, active users are probably not more than a hundred. I use ipostad safelist service. I can reach out to 2000+ safelists and millions of members.

The conversion for safelist is extremely low. It's a numbers game, really.

        Hi Jason
Congratulation but let me tell you that the problem in IM is not "can you money with safelists or not?", the problem is "can you make more money using safelist than using another traffic source or not?"

if you know that their are another traffic source that can make you more money and you still invest your time and money in safelist I think you just love safelists

I know that you agree with me that the best source of traffic is not safelist and if you invest your money and time in another source you make more money.

        Thanks
        Mohamed

I'm not really sure that I understand the question - sorry.

Safelists work for some, but not for most.

If you are going to try them then sign up to credit based safelists. These safelists operate on the basis that a member of the safelist must open your email and click on a credit link (usually located at the bottom of the email - to make sure that you have to scroll through the email to get your credits). The credit link clicked gives the member credits which enable him or her to send their own emails and offers to the list.

There are many variations on this credit based safelist theme.

If you are going to try, test and track results for this method of advertising then the best idea is to have an extremely attractive headline and then very short sharp copy in the email, so that once opened, your email will be so interesting, that it will be read and your link clicked (link always included above the fold), before the reader gets to the credit link at the bottom of the email and clicks on it to earn his or her credits.

This, in my opinion, is a system best employed using a link to a sign up page with a free gift to encourage a sign up to your mailing list.

Now building a list does not seem what you are looking to do here, but I thought that I would post, as I was not really clear (as I mentioned above) as to what you were really asking.

      Just my thoughts.

      Regards,
      Jeff.

What I'm looking for are services where I can just pay to send email to some number of members.
I don't want to read emails, earn credits and promote service.

I joined a free safelist service about 6 months ago.

You can see it as a waste of time but that's just being shortsighted. It only take a couple of minutes to come up with the content and send it. So if you were to get one sale from that free safelist, then it was all profit. I like to take advantage of every free resource I can get that I feel will be effective.

The downfall to the free safelist is that you do have to recieve emails in return for sending your own. I wish I had something that I could reccommend nikolaaa.

I would not use safelists, I think they are a waste of money. You need to build up trust and credibility with your subscribers and the only way to do this is to have your own list where you send out useful information over time.

I am also fixing to start using safelist but this is only an addition to everything else I do. I have great results with autosurf and social marketing. I have a great training link if you would like me to share it.

Solo ads are effective if you send good emails, I usually promote low cost products or a free report to gain subscribers, but don't spend a lot of money on these.

Using "text ad sites" are better than safelist because they give users more control to click on what they are interested in to gain credits for their own ads.

Since they are choosing the ads by subject (title) there is a little more interest in the actual ad and you can buy solos by accumulating credits.

A free solo ad will usually produce results -especially if it is a free offer to build a mailing list.

I am much more of an attraction marketer...and what I have found and seen is that when you are using listbuilders and safelists...it is much better to market a solution versus trying to sell people on your business.

And the reason is because most people on those sites and services, have businesses already that they are trying promote. But if you have something that can help them get better results or solve a problem for them, then you have a great opportunity to capture their attention.

Also...make sure you are using a lead capture page so you can at least build a list...even if you don't make any immediate upfront cash.

    Hope this helps some...
