Basically, I'm wondering if anyone on here might help me out. I want to learn things like building review sites, SEO promotion, backlinking, etc. Ultimately, I'd like to have a dozen or so review sites up generating a little extra money from a combo of ads, amazon, and clickbank commissions.

In reality, all I need is someone to point me in the right direction and answer a few questions I may have. It wouldn't require more than a few minutes of your time per day. Just point me to an article and I'll read, or help me by pointing me at good starter packages that you see for sale here on the forum.

I understand that everyone here has their own things to do, but if someone has the spare time or would like to help out a newbie who is eager to learn, please let me know

Thanks!
#coach

No sarcasm intended, a very important asset to working online is knowing how to research. Especially for review sites.
One Google search for "building review sites" turned up several good resources on the front page.
Here's another good resource. How to Properly Research on the Internet

Also, join the War Room and read the sub forum "My Ideas". There is a wealth of knowledge there.

Do you REALLY know how much coaching costs? Im not talking about some kid showing you how to FTP a wordpress blog either.

Professional coaching is expensive. Unless you are serious about this, have the $$$ to pay for it, and want to treat this like a genuine business, then chances are, youre not going to find much help here.

At some stage, you will need to invest in yourself if you like to take your business to the next level. I would suggest asking for interviews with the experts you like to model after, usually in the process as you build rapport with them, they will try and give you a few pointers. This will open new doors but not everyone will grant you an interviews, you would have to have been on their list, bought a few products and then been able to get an interview.

@ramone_johnny is definitely right, coaching is expensive and time is money. So if you like for someone to even give just a few minutes of their time, think of what value you can bring to them if you can't 'pay' for coaching. Think out side the box to add value.

I don't think you really need a coach, if all you're looking for is someone with more experience to answer some questions.

Here's a suggestion. Go to talkmarketingnow.com (I am not affiliated in any way) and start tuning in to the daily shows. I've noticed that during some of the less crowded or busy shows, people are very willing to answer questions and offer help and resources to motivated newbies. Some of the presenters are more newbie-friendly than others, so listen and learn for a while before trying to get assistance.

Why don' you just try following a few people on their blogs. One good one that I follow is Tiffany Dow's Internet Marketing Blog. It is great for new people and she does a lot with review sites etc.

Another good one is Matt Carter. Check out a few sites and then pick one to follow and don't get side tracked.

    idlplumb listen...

This is just my take on it dude.

Asking for a coach is the SMARTEST question someone new to this industry could ask. I wish I had of done it myself. You are on the right track.

But as I said, its costly.

Perhaps change your approach. Dont give up. Keep asking around. Start networking offline. Go to some user groups. Be sure though, that whoever you decide to hire as a coach or mentor can PROVE to you, that they know what they are doing! This proof shouldnt be too hard for the right person. There shouldnt be any mysteries or secrets!

The more questions you ask, the easier it should be. Dont be afraid to ask about earnings - VERY IMPORTANT!

    Now lastly ....

For me to teach you everything I know, would literally take months. Seriously it would take months. And even then there are no guarantees. And how would I put a justifiable price on my time? Ive quite possibly blown between $80,000 - $100,000 in this journey since I started (Im not kidding) and put in THOUSANDS OF HOURS. Often 15 hour days. How could you price something like that?

Even though a lot might think, "who cares", I DO! Because my invested time and money is now KNOWLEDGE which is a very valuable asset. Just showing you what mistakes to avoid is worth something - I should know, Ive made plenty.

Listen Im not blowing my own horn here either. Im just a small fish. There are plenty of people on this forum that earn MUCH MUCH more than I do. And I would be pretty confident that they most likely know a lot more than me too!

Asking for a coach is definitely the right thing to do - but really have a think about what youre asking for.

Years and years of wasted hours and money is expensive.

    Just my $0.02

I agree. It's ridiculous for someone to teach me all they know for free. I'm really just looking for guidance. For someone to point me in the right direction or give me a quick breakdown of the whole process and I can research the individual steps on my own.

Thank you for not being to hard on me

Are you a plumber? If so, i'd suggest becoming an authority in teaching plumbers how to make money, and, getting your site ranked high in your area. Sell information products. See if you can buy Dan Kennedy consultant business package on ebay for cheap. Also, check out the offline marketing section of this forum.

If you want to do this for online gambling sites then I would consider coaching you. I do this for a few people but I usually ask for a few links and also to signup to my sub affiliate links to give me the incentive to help you.

Otherwise for mainstream industries the big issue is if nobody has an incentive to help you, they you won't get any help at all.
