Lighting Tips for Video Recording?

Hey guys,

Do you know how & where to put lights
to get a good video?

I heard it was a triangle somewhere
long time ago but can't find a picture of it.

If you know, I would appreciate if you could
post a link of a picture of where to put the
lights.

Thanks
BJ

Not an expert, just done this a few times ...

You want one direct lighting, the strongest lighting, coming at one direction on your face. (ie. The left side.) Generally not straight on.

A second light on the other side gives a more diffused light. (ie. On the right.) This helps prevent the "One side really bright other side is dark" syndrome.

Finally, one light in the back or over the top of your head.

    Cheers,

    - Derek

P.S. Audio quality is far, far more important for IM videos where you're mostly talking than video.
