Can anyone point me to any free step-by-step manual or guide for setting up free autoresponders on websites?
I am a noob.

Your autoresponder website should have a guide. ie. aweber.com sets you up pretty well, IMO.

are you asking for a free tutorial on how to setup a 'free' autoresponder on a site?

eg; getresponse's free program offering, or infiniteresponder or phplist?

Sorry guys for my late reply - had to rush out for an appointment.
My fault for being vague. What I meant was that I wanted to learn about how to set up auto responders on any website. Look, I am a noob - so maybe I am not asking the right question. Where the heck does a noob go to learn about autoresponders and how to set them up? There are just too many scammers on google. I was hoping for a warrior's recommendation.

Use the email subscription function of feedburner. I researched all the free autoresponders and found that to be the best option. Plus it forces you to kee putting up new content.

That is extremely bad advice.... Feedburner? Huh... that's NOT an autoresponder!

Feedburner is a subscription to your RSS feed. There is no good contact with that at all. You have absolutely no control.

As for the autoresponder question, if you can swing it at all I would at least start with a reputable company so that your emails will get delivered. Try Email Aces, they are a very good starting autoresponder for newbs and cost like $9 a month.

I started out with them years ago when I first got started and they were great. I just visited their website last night (research for an upcoming project) and they are your best bet for just starting out.

Does anybody have any auto responder emails where we can edit and add into our autoresponder sequence?

(like 20-50 autoresponder email messages- we can swipe, modify and enter in our email)

        - any services, websites or reports which provide this?

For the IM market I believe Tiffany Dow has some PLR article series that could be edited and stuffed into an autoresponder series...

Not sure about others...haven't seen a lot of this, might want to search on the WSO forum.

Get response has a free option for a hosted solution...that can be upgraded later.

Infinite Responder (free), phplist.com (free), or ARP3 (paid) would allow you to run it on your domain/website but then you'd have to be willing to deal with deliverability issues.

Mike Hill's comments about Feedburner are out of date.

There is an email autoresponder option, it is free and it may well suit some people who don't need all the bells and whistles of Aweber (my favourite).

MailChimp is unique in that you can pay for just the emails you send.

I read every single one of your replies. The best part of this post for me personally is that you've taken the trouble to help a noob like me out - and I am giving back the honor by taking it all in and checking them all out....and learning. I have progressed more in the last 2 days than I have ever been googling.
Trust me - for a noob - this is big - thanks a mil is just not enough!
