Where can I buy a real profitable website for a price of between 5x and 10x revenue?

Thanks for visiting this thread.

I have studied internet marketing for some time, and found it difficult to build a successful and profitable website. I am a Chinese, and am not good at English writing.

I think it is the major reason I can't build a successful English sites. I have several good Chinese sites, but they can't generate good profits too.

Recently, I think I can buy established websites from others, instead of building it by myself.

Where can I buy the real profitable websites?

I have visited flippa several times, and found that the price is a little high compared with the revenues.

If which warrior has websites to sell, you can contact me.

Thanks.

To me, Flippa is the best site for this kind of things.

Be aware though, if you don't fully know the ins and outs of money-making websites it's going to be hard to make a decision which one to buy.

A $500/mo website will easily sell for anything up to $20K. On the 'flip' side, a $500/mo website isn't that hard to make when you know what you're doing.

      Thanks for your comments.

I am interested in niche affiliate marketing and adsense, and will focus on these two kinds of sites.

Also, usually a $500/mo site is not going to stay a $500/mo site if you just let it sit there stagnant.

You still have to be able and willing to put in the work it takes to maintain and/or grow the public and S.E. interest in the website.

        Good luck!

Every day I check the obituaries. If I don't see my name there, then I know it's going to be a good day!

I don't think my point came across very well.

Hi obseerver, I do investing, and don't know where can get so high return -- 4% - 10% per month. Could you tell me some such investment companies?

I invest US stocks, and do it like Warren Buffett's way, invest good businesses when they are on sale.

Uhhh show me one "legit" "reputed" investment firm that generates 10% a month  . Avg "annual" returns are generally good for the 8-13% range "annually" at legit firms. Have you ever invested even $1???

To be honest, as an investor i would be more concernedabout a well managed portfolio rather than the website

There's no way you can get $20k out of a $500/month site unless the domain is ridiculously good or something. That's 40 times the monthly profit, whereas the norm is standard is between 6 and 12 times the monthly profit.

Okay. If you're tight on the budget, you can look at Digital Point (Yes, I know..). Or WF is also a good place!

A website will typically sell for twelve times the amount it's making per month. So if your website is making $5,000 per month then it will sell for $60,000. Sometimes the sellers tack on the development costs too.

12 months income was the usual case maybe a year or so ago but not now. There are sites that sell for more then 12+ months income but most struggle to get 6 x monthly income. It is a buyers market.

Check ebay Auctions as well. Sometimes you can find money making websites with very few bids. Check out the soon to end bids by sorting them by "Bids ending soonest" .

    Good luck,

You can do it with Flippa, but make sure to buy from a seller that will accept escrow. Then stipulate a week review period. Then you can have the website for a week and determine for yourself if it is making the claimed money. - Also during the week review period, make sure you have a good tracking script installed, so that you know exactly where the money is coming from. I've had some people claim that all of their traffic was natural, only to find out later that they were driving traffic to the site with adwords during the auction.

I hate to break up the investment / politics party, but dengkane - what's your budget? (how much maximum do you have to spend?)

This will determine where the best place to look is.

Don't even bother to buy the sites on Flippa. Most are a complete rip off. Most of them you can reverse engineer. Much cheaper to start your online business that way.

Allow me to point out a potential problem . . .

The English language is a problem for you. It seems logical, then, to purchase - as you intend to do - a ready-made income site. Sounds like a solid plan. It sounds like a solid plan. What about running the site? The majority of profitable websites rely on the provision of content; not all sites, but certainly the majority at the low end of the pool. Since I assume you're not buying the next Twitter, and instead, an authority site of some nature, with SEO and social juice, etc, then I must also assume that it's a content-driven site. You're going to need to spend some pretty heavy cash to get a decent one. And by decent, I mean one that will offer enough monthly return to cover a webmaster to run it for you.

If you want my advice, I'd consider looking into alternative ways to make money. Some of the richest guys I know speak pitiful English. They make up for it by being some of the smartest guys I know.

Thanks for pointing that out. You'd have to ask Legolas. I've only just noticed the date myself, since you mentioned it.
