Best Hosting Your Opinion

Alright guys I've used a lot of hosts and definetly had many speed bumps. But in my opinion you cant get a better deal of support or options for a new to moderate webmaster without going VPS its got to be Hostgator. What do you guys think though? I like the reseller accounts and give each domain one so I can track all my Cpanel stats seperate.

Im open for other recommendations though. Thanks guys.

    There are quite a few options for you to choose from, these are the best starting points.
    • Hostgator (cpanel host on "the Planet's" datacenter)
    • GoDaddy (Good support, flexible and cheap)
    • Site5 (not too bad and cost effective)
    My vote is for HostGator, I run many dedicated boxes like the ones HostGator leases from The Planet and they are very solid. I also have many clients using HostGator with minimal issues. The only thing to look out for with Hostgator is the $10 fees for installing an SSL or gaining SSH access which for a high end user can be a pain but it is only a one time fee.

    Hostgator also uses fantastico (part of CPanel) which gives you a lot of One-Click-Installs for popular software like Wordpress, Joomla etc.

      I've personally used HostGator for years and love it.

      I'm up to 7 Dedicated Pro Servers with them and would never change to anyone else.

                  I've been using bluehost.com for a couple years now and I really like them. They moved me to another server because I needed some sort of php upgrade for a script I wanted to buy, just for the asking.

                  My computer was stolen a day or two later and after all the commotion and paperwork I had to produce for the insurance company I couldn't remember what the script was (I hadn't ordered it yet). Tip back up your favorites!

                  Just this past week they increased my disk usage again just for the asking. Not only that but you can't get any better than fantastico scripts, it saves so much time not having to do all that work yourself.
